Can't login to Steam to raise a support ticket

Hi, please could Steam help with this issue? Please read this carefully:
This relates to another Steam account (I am raising this for my son's account because he cannot login).
The account was displaying numbers instead of the profile name and a question mark in the profile picture. then I loged out and I am unable to log back in. I have removed the authenticator and confirmed the login attempt by email and text message. I then was unable to actually login to Steam.
I then tried changing the password assuming my account has been hacked. I was able to change the password and after confirming the email verification once again I still can't login. The message is "An error occurred trying to handle that request".
I have spent a lot of money on this account and always use steam guard (Never alter game files etc). I play a lot of Counter Strike and really would like my account back. Please help me, thank you so much.
Just for additional info, I am able to log into my steam account on this same computer, just not my son's account. (This is not a scam, I can prove my identity). Thank you

Oh I am so happy. A couple of minutes after raising this issue I am able to log in on the computer.
My phone is also displaying the correct profile name and picture. This has been a tense couple of hours trying to raise a support ticket that claims you have to be logged in (Obviously I couldn't login hence the moan on this site). There should be a way to contact the service team in these cases. Anyway, I will close this ticket.

Thank you rageFifty. I tried that but was unable to actually login after I reset the email, after I went through acvcount recovery etc. I was able to verify this all the time but never able to login. The account must have been reset shortly after your reply and it is all back to normal. All the best and thank you for taking the time to reply. Appreciated bud.
