How is the ping for Chinese players on EU servers?
In 7 months, I'm moving to China for the next 6 years; furthermore, my friends play on EU servers. Therefore I was wondering how much will my ping time be there on EU servers.

I'd appreciate any comment.

Thank you^^

Do more research before moving there.

For starters, people there are required to use SteamChina, which may not have the same availability for games & the ability to connect outside of that version of the client. Essentially, use the international client at your own risk if you move there.

Else, it generally depends on how far you are from the server, and how good or bad the service is or anything between you & the game servers.

Look into the restrictions/regulations and other bits before you move there.

Make sure you can even play on different countries servers as a lot of games will restrict what regions you can play on also.
It could be more than 200ms.
The distance itself is not the factor, but everything on the way.

I didn't know such a thing existed! thanks for informing me about it. exactly I'm asking questions on different platforms to find more information about various categories of restrictions there.

I've never tried using Steam in China, but I've been there, and things seem to get (even more) restricted closer to elections. For example, they blocked the ports used by my company VPN, and they blocked Google (do you know how many sites use Google for analytics?!).

They just finished an election, so maybe it'll be slightly less completely terrible soon.
