Check out Devolver. Great indie publisher.

You can view my games list from my profile; lots of puzzle/adventure types, definitely some older/indie. The Myst series, for example. :fallingman: Some very short free ones, too.

Edit: Oh, you own Syberia 1-3! I've played 1 & 2 and I would recommend them. (The movement gets a bit better in 2!)

Since you appear to really enjoy older games, noticeably quake.

I'd suggest these:

You have Max Payne 1+2 in your library - download the patches to those and play them I would.

For starters, get rid of the "AAA vs non-AAA" mindset. "AAA" is just ordinary games with a massive budget.

With that in mind,

what type of games would you recommend if im not into aaa games

... any "type" of game that you like.

Like the recommendations that have been made: I've not played any of those because they are not "my type of game", although Kena is on my shopping list.

I'm not going to copy-paste the stuff, but if you're really that interested in what *I* consider to be decent/good games -- here's my 2022 list of the games I've played; look for entries with thumb.up...

Still, some of those are made by large publishers, so they are probably considered AAA. I never cared about these labels, nor do I see any reason to take them into consideration for anything.

But then, I'm not a gaming journalist, a "streamer", or something like that -- so I don't have to cater to a larger audience. My preferences are mine and mine alone, and your mileage WILL be different.

A shameless self-plug of stuff I recommend. Not all of them indies, but the focus very much is.

I looked into your profile. You like shooter like games and JRPG.

You missed the "World of Final fantasy" game in your final fantasy collection. Must buy in my opinion.

Just Cause 3 is missing. Although you have the best in the series, "Just Cause 2". 3 it's just more Just cause, avoid "Just Cause 4" under all costs.

You have NO "Yakuza" game. That itself is a crime, if you are into JRPG. Start with "Yakuza Zero", and look if you like that. It's an action oriented series. A brawler game. Only the previous Yakuza game "Like a Dragon" was turn based. Buy the games on a sale. Many games to buy.

As newest game, the "One that should not be named... Hogwarts legacy is quiet fun, and would fit into your collection, too. If you are into exploring, that is. I did not leave Hogwarts for 16 hours, because I had to turn every stone over, finding secrets.

An alternative to Final Fantasy is the excellent "Legends of heroes" series, from "Trails through the sky" 1-3 and "Trails of cold steel" 1-4. Turn based difficult combat. Very epic stories.

Oh, and regarding your games, I think you would like the Neptunia games. At least the main games from the "Hyperdimension Neptunia 1-3" and "Megadimension Neptunia VII". Wait for a sale! 1 and 3 are really good.

Other things you might like, after seeing you own Batman complete is "Spiderman", "Miles Morales" and "Horizon Zero Dawn".

And get "Mad Max", the open world game of open world games. ... The combat system is like the one in Batman. You will feel right at home. "Mad Max" was also made by Avalanche studios, who made "Hogwarts Legacy" and "Rage 2", btw.
