No Steam Remote Play Menu Appearing

As the title implies, whenever i try to launch steam remote play session with my friends, I don't get any kind of menu opening up to allow me to change their controller permissions or anything, which kinda sucks if you are trying to do a remote play session where both players are using different key bindings on the same keyboard (Example: Arrows shift and enter for P1, WASD ZX for P2). I've tried a couple different games now and none give me the option. I've tried re-installing steam, restarting my computer, re-installing the games, restarting my internet modem and router, disabling and re-enabling remote play together, and at this point I'm not even sure I am in the right spot to ask for help with this. Thanks in advance to anyone that tries to help!

I got the same issue here. Idk how to toggle the remote window after my friends joined the game. Is there any way to open the window manually?

not too sure, im hoping that is the case, but you would think re-installing would of fixed that to some extent... im hoping we can figure this out.
for now im using parsec if that helps

sadly not yet, for now ive just been using parsec to do remote play with friends instead of steam. so far it seems to even work better

I HAVE AN UPDATE! PLEASE TRY TO UPDATE/INSTALL JAVA!
i have just updated my java and it seems to be working again! i saw another post on the thread that cSglmc-Hotsauce had posted that someone had managed to generate an error code that related to java script and the popout used for remote play! let me know if that fixed it for you guys so i can hopefully mark this as solved!

Despite the impression you might get from the names, Java and Javascript are *totally* unrelated things.

What probably actually fixed it is that Valve released an update to the Steam client beta yesterday which had a fix in it for Remote Play: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/announcements/detail/3659772423367878641

it was still not working for me after i got the steamupdate yesterday, and was not working untill i had ran a java update... it could of been that it took a while to sit, im not sure, but i still want to recomend to people that they try updating java if nothing else is working
