Random person in my friend list

Hi guys, i wanna ask you about something. Today I was invited into a cs:go lobby by a player i didnt know. So i visited his steam profile and he was in my friend list, but im pretty sure i have never added this guy, i didnt know him at all (he didnt even change his name, he had only used 1 name, that wasnt changed). Should I be worried about my steam profile and do some steps to secure my account? My account has a 2-factor security. Thanks <3

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)


Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.


I will agree with Anna, your name history tells us you dont take the security of your account very serious. 2FA does nothing if you give away the log in information. it is only an extra layer of protection.

just because your wearing a bullet proof vest does not mean you can stop trying to avoid bullets.

I havent. I didnt know you can delete your name history. But anyways ill do all the things to secure my account, just to be sure. Thanks
