Solution to that would be to make a folder called skins. I'll add that to the guide.
And, thank you for posting this.
It's all good :) I'm still trying refine the guide, make it easier to read and follow.
So for example, if you go to your steam profile and right click you'll see "View Source..."
Selecting that should open up a text document with all the code from that page.
Here's where having a basic understanding of HTML and CSS helps a lot.
You should be able to find guides for making your own steam skins, this will give you a better understanding of the default layout and page mechanics.
People like you helped me after the shelf update. Coming from list view, i hated the shelf thing.
Maybe more could have been changed back, but i am fine with removing just the annoying things.

Yes. The stable branch was just updated and broke skins again.
After checking you are correct but it's not overriding everything. I just updated my original post that this is still fixable and work in progress.
