what do i do with 200k steam points?

other than awarding and buying steam backgrounds

There's some unofficial 3rd parties that do buy/sell points.

Yeah that has been suggested before, but I guess it won't happen because there's always people that would find a way to abuse that option somehow.

I think long ago, during a wintersale it was possible to buy 5€/$ store discount coupons with points, maybe they could do this again.

You can buy upgrades for your Steam profile. For example, the basic Rare Achievement Showcase is one line of Achievements, you can then upgrade it for up to 3 lines of rare achievements.

If you'd like to use the same showcase box again, you can also use the points to buy a second copy of each showcase.

They tried five-thousand-point vouchers for the first few sales that had point systems, but yeah they didn’t carry it over to the current one.
