Thank you, that kind of worked on one of my pcs, I already had GPU accelerated rendering enabled checked, when i unchecked it then it worked. The one that does it takes about 20-25 sec to launch after getting to the windows desktop. So it that normal with a ssd hdd? Seems kind of long since i have no other start up programs enabled other then Steam.
Step 1..
Go into "Task Manager" -> "Startup" and right click steam, "Disable"
Step 2..
Go to your steam directory and find the "steam.exe" file, right click and "Create shortcut"
Keep an eye on the shortcut, you will need to move it to a folder!
Step 3..
Click "Windows key" + "R" to start "Run" and type "shell:startup"
Drag the steam shortcut to the folder you're prompted called "Startup"
Step 4..
Go back to "Task Manager", steam should now be enabled again and you might have 2 instances of steam in the "Startup" tab, one "Disabled" and one "Enabled"
IF BOTH ARE ENABLED OR DISABLED, make sure one of them are Enabled, specifically the one that refers to the shortcut you made and moved to the "Startup" folder!
Step 5..
Reboot with the start in big picture mode option enabled
(i would restart steam to see if it works without a PC restart first to make sure the option works)
Tadaa!
If you encounter any issues, or people cant fix their problem with this, i might just make a video on how i did it or smth for clarity sake, I hope I helped! <3
This worked a treat
