Did steam just remove the download button from covers?

The download button from the cover of a game was a good thing i think,you didn't need to enter a game's hub to press the install button,you could just do it by looking at the cover and pressing a small button on the left down side of it.

Why did they remove it?
Is it an optimization thing?,or some people just happen to press that button and get annoyed by the download pop-up window?

Whatever the case,I think valve should bring it back,I put custom icons and heroes and hub lags every time I click on a game in the hub,so for me it was the more boring ,but lag-free solution to having my custom animation for my favorite games and not having to suffer the lag whenever I try to play.

Did they remove anything else with this update?

They are still there for me, give it some time or restart steam see if they come back for you.

Alright ,I tried restarting steam (task manager) and it didn't work.Restarting the pc won't solve it if restarting the app didn't.So yeah,does anyone else have this issue?

Yeah, my Steam just updated and they're gone for me as well. Never used it myself, mind, rarely use the shelves/collection view.

You can right click the cover and there is an install there. A bit less lazy way, but that's there.

That is a dumb move to remove that. That's I how I could tell at a glance what games are installed or not. There is no other way to tell without clicking (or right clicking) on each game individually.

I was thinking about it and I bet it was a bug. Something they'll fix in the next patch or two. Not gonna worry about it. At least try not to anyway, ha ha.

Create dynamic collection, play state: installed locally. Everything not in that collection is not installed.

Yeah, aware of that. But the reverse is not true. Can't make a collection of uninstalled games. And you really can''t see all the games at once that are not in a collection; only games that are in it.
But no matter, I keep forgetting that the games list to the left will have the games that are installed as highlighted and those that are not as greyed out. So no real problem, just was used to one thing and will have to get used to another. Again.
