I got a psp from a long time ago and well there is a lot's of games I own for it I haven't finished yet , I also have a 2DS , same thing , din't played with it that much.
at some point I just play whatever work on the hardware I have and not care about the upcoming games if it's require an upgrade.
As for the quality, like pretty much all publishers, some are good and some aren't. Sony seems to like putting an Hollywood movie in a game which will appeal to some people but not really for me. Imo, gameplay-wise a lot of Sony's games are similar, being some kind of Action/Adventure in third person.
I would like a Bloodborne remake to make its way to PC tho, being a Souls fan. Other than that, I don't think I got a single Sony game on PC as they don't really interest me.
Still a good thing that they coming for people who are interested tho.
realised i just ended up ranting but to answer ur question i feel ps games coming to pc feel more like a money grab than anything else as most of the time it comes out much later and at the full price i understand there probably a lot of changes to controls that needs to be made but it doesnt justify the full price on games that are technically 1-2 years old and i end up watching playthrough on utube than actually playing it like its nice to be able to play it when u dont have a ps5 and itll save u like 400 quid since u dont have to buy one to play a exclusive but i feel like they need to release then sooner like Microsoft does usually they end the exclusivity in a month or 2 or so i heard.
edit: just wanted to add that most of the ps games arent really replayable as most are stroy driven
sorry for ranting XD
For me console games were about the experience you had playing them with others. You don't do that anymore. Their appeal is next to nul to me as a result.
And I am not able to mod them, because is is a closed system. So my experiensce with console games is pretty much flawed, because I love to mod games. My consoles are collecting dust in a corner and I am very glad that PC ports are now made for me ... and the modding community. So we are able to remove the remaining flaws from this games.
I did stop buying the new consoles like PS4 and PS5 completely, because they were much too close to the normal PC hardware. Compared even to my old 10 year old gaming PC "modern" consoles catched up only now to his specs.
I rather wait now for the ports like Horizn Zero Dawn, Spiderman, Days gone and Persona 5 ... and mod them on my PC. Like I mod all the games I play.
One of the additional problems is, that some of these games combat, especially HZD is far too easy on PC with MB keyboard controls. You can feel they were made for 30 fps and gamepad controls. With Mouse and keyboard you are able to off hordes of little mechs, not even needing to hide. Tried that last week for a while, starting the game again. Killing everything on sight at the start of the game..And the game AI has no clue what to do against strafing enemies, even if they managed to get close. If you start to set paralyze traps, on top of all that, you are like the god of destruction in this game with mouse and keyboard controls.
Well, at least my Aloy looks now far better that the ugly thing from the original, while doing the killing.
Still, good games. HZD especially is a really good open world game. Could be less cinematic, but that's a minor gripe.
Minimal gameplay, long cutscenes.
Couldn't care less.
Spiderman was actually the best of the bunch of the PC ports I bought. Never bought God of War, though. Plays much like the Batman Arkham games. Only you are Spiderman, with Spiderman moves.
Combat is fluid on PC, too. Much, much better than that of the new abysmal "Arkham Knights", that is.
Giving it some time, they might actually turn into the most successful "AAA" publisher for me.
