which free and which paid allow for this, i am getting too old to buy 3 copies of a games that may be used rarely in multiplayer

no i am asking which games can i play multiplayer between my family that are paid for or free and allow multiple instances so that on rare occasions i can play against my family without paying for more copies than i would use rather than going and pirating it which i could do easier than asking on here how to do the opposite

Steam games are single use licenses for yourself. If you and someone else plays the same copy at the same time, you have at least one illegal copy of the game.

So yes, you are asking on what games you can pirate.

Are you confusing it with local multiplayer???

Lan means multiple PC / Device that install game on more than one device running at same time, which is not possible to do if using same account online across multiple devices.
