Have all Target stores stopped carrying Steam gift cards?

At the one I go to, it hasn't had any Steam gift cards available since at least mid-December of last year. So, I'm starting to fear that all Target stores have stopped carrying these cards for some reason. And, I fear that the reason might be that Target's corporate has caught wind of Steam's adult game section.

They are still selling them here in Australia i saw some a day ago at the mall near me.

I am from Australia too and I have seen plenty of Steam gift cards in Coles and Woolworths shopping centres.

Make sure to look in the video/PC game sections at the stores. Walmart still says out of stock online and in stores but my local Walmart has them but they are not in the gift card section anymore. Been this way for a year now.

I believe they never were in the gift card section. They are in the electronic department. In my local Wal-mart the gift card section is just a stand in the front of the store.

At my local walmart they are found near the front of the store along with all the other gift cards, not in the electronics section

Sure was. I used to buy them from the gift card section then they disappeared one day, I try to stay out of Walmart for the most part so after 2 months I found them in the PC/video game section.

During that time I was buying them from Dollar General which also has them in the gift card section. Of course DG doesn't have an electronics section.

I hope that there aren't any cities or counties in America that have BANNED Steam gift cards! The reason for any such ban: Steam's adult games section. Some city councils and/or county councils could well be of the opinion that the availability of Steam gift cards makes it too easy for kids under 18 to access this platform's adult content. That is complete bull! Steam does NOT make it easy for children to access its adult content, Steam gift cards or not! You have to not only be signed in to Steam; you also need to opt-in to even *SEE* that adult content!

Yet, I don't think that Steam is affected by this: adult games on this platform don't come anywhere NEAR 1/3 of all of Steam's game library.

i see them sporadically, i notice that there are times when steam wallet cards sell out rapidly during high traffic periods like sales or holidays, then they slowly restock, though last time i physically saw one was before christmas

It may very well be that Target might sooner or later start offering DIGITAL Steam Cards instead of physical ones; as that would definitely put a stop to Steam Wallet Code theft! Here's how this would work: you'd go to a cashier at Target, say that you want a Digital Steam Card, give him or her your email address, and then pay the cashier whatever amount of money that Digital Steam Card's value is. And yes, you could pay in cash for this. So, for a $50 Digital Steam Card, you'd pay the cashier $50. Then, the cashier would send a Digital Steam Wallet Code to your email address. Then, once you get home, then you open the email from Target and then open your Steam client and then go to "Games -> Redeem a Steam Wallet Code" and then enter the code that you got in your email. This would be just like entering the revealed code from the back of a physical Steam Card.

It would help if Target would put in an insert in place of the Steam Cards to indicate that they now offer Steam Cards in digital form rather than physical form in order to protect against Steam Wallet Code theft.

I imagine that the Digital Steam Cards would be available in the following values: $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100.

I think it's a matter of some stores just not ordering the cards.

I can still find Steam cards at Walmart, Walgreens, and Dollar General around here.
