How does selling trading cards at market work in extreme spikes?
I have listed some game cards at an average rate seeing bigger extreme spikes in bar. However among most low rate undercutting I see cards selling spiking extremely in between at rates much higher than mine yet mine listed for quite few months go unsold. How does this work? How do cards even spike in rates when literally hundreds sell cheap daily?

scams and other not so legit trades

player 1 --- im going to put this 0.1 cent item up for $10 because you owe me $10

player 2 --- purchases over priced item for $10 because they are doing a outside of the trade window deal.

Oh! Rate fixing? Would love to see what happens if buyer puts his 10 in and last minute someone else lists own at 10.
It sounds like you are trying to sell trading cards on Steam and are wondering how the market works in cases where there are extreme price spikes. When it comes to the Steam market, prices for items can fluctuate quite a bit depending on a variety of factors. Some of the things that might affect the price of trading cards on the market include the rarity of the card, the demand for the game the card is from, and the supply of similar cards available on the market.

In cases where you are seeing extreme price spikes for certain cards, it's possible that there is a high demand for those cards and not a lot of supply, which can drive the prices up. Alternatively, it's possible that there are other factors at play, such as market manipulation or other players attempting to artificially inflate the price of certain cards. In any case, it's important to keep in mind that the Steam market can be unpredictable and that it's not always easy to predict what will happen to the prices of specific items. If you are having trouble selling your cards, you may want to try adjusting your prices or considering other strategies, such as holding onto your cards for a while longer in the hopes that the market will change in your favor.

I was refering to some of the cheapest shovelware trash games with cheapest cards available plenty and yet having abnormal high selling spikes when these cards never dropped in supply. Neither a case of rarity or short supply.
How do you know whether the cards have “dropped in supply?”
