Wouldn't work as the mods probably know my gender by now, and then being subscribed to the gay gaming groups would give it away.
Yeah I was more stating in general. I had an out of control moderator (before the moderation change) take down every skyrim screenshot and screenshots (marked properly as adult) for actual +18 games with nudity built into them. I emailed support because no other content in skyrim or the other hubs was taken down and given just a BS answer.
As a test, my uh...hmm...secret account...still (occasionally) uploads skyrim screenshots literally 2 years later and hasn't been banned or deleted and has a ton of friends and they regularly get top hits and never taken down ROFL. And the account "appears" to be female ;) I even reported that account on this account, asked a few friends and a real life friend to all report it, they did and nothing happened LAWL. This is a year or two back the report test happened, but I thought it was hilarious. My screenshots were still blasted on front page.
But not this account cause its obviously a guy behind it.
No banning females. But I guess men no matter their preference are fair game.
Yet the ironic part is it was screenshots of a gay pron game for gay men, and I'm pretty sure the other nude screenshots are from male players as well.
I'm waiting for that to happen where a misfortunate moderator targets a transgender by accident or mistake or even on purpose, as the social backlash (whether on steam or outside it) it will force steam to either heavy hand and remove ALL adult content (including their adult games they started selling) or allow all adult content across the board.
That or FINALLY implement a feature to mark certain users as +18 or only to be able to be viewed. Personally I don't want kids looking at my profile anyway.
Won't happen till a transgender gets unfairly targeted though sadly.
I've asked in so many places to be able to mark my accounts as 18+ too, I want adult stuff thanks, not my fault nosy kids keep doing illegal searches for such content.
I'll maybe try contacting some LGBT news places see if they'd be interested in running a story, fortunately I don't use twitter and wouldn't be noticed on there anyway as I wouldn't have any followers.
So I have asked:
'May I please also ask to have this case reviewed by a female member of Steam support, or if you have any, an LGBT member of your support? I believe if you are a straight male moderator, you are simply being biased and homophobic against me.'
Do Steam actually employ any women or LGBT support staff?
Posting uncensored pictures obtained with patch/mod is not allowed.
You should take a look at this.

Your screenshots were viewable even with all filters on.
If you really need to post such material there is a ton of sites made just for that.
They were blurred and they were not using a patch or mod, the game has full nudity, how many times does that need to be explained?
The entire game and its community including screenshot uploads are tagged as 18+ mature content, how many times does that need explaining?
In order to view / unblur the screenshots of 18+ games, you have to select several options on your account - 18+, view adult content, view nudity.
Does the game avatars in any way, shape, form or even by the pictures fall within the idea that they may look under age? Now I ask this because if they do then that may of been why, while I wont deny that there are adult screenshots scattered about, the issue may of been what the avatars in it looked like and if so then I sorta can see Valve taking it down on the context of it looking underage.
BUT THATS MY 2 CENTS ON THE MATTER
Heres a SFW clothed pic of what the characters look like:

They basically told me 'other people can break the rules but not you'.
Very likely because they have not been reported--and depending on how Valve now handle reporting, it may require several users to report the same content before it appears in whatever moderation queue they use for such content.
You cannot draw any conclusions of persecution from the fact you were moderated and others weren't. The fact is the community rules state that obscene content (including porn) is subject to moderation. This is regardless of whether a game features sexual content or not. It has nothing to do with your gender or your sexual preferences. You were simply reported enough times for your content to come under review. The rules were then applied.
Why when I try to report the screenshots from other users does it give an error then?
And if everyone else can do it but I can't, then that literally is the definition of discrimination.
