"Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company"
I wanted to buy Ghost Recon WIldlands for both me and my buddy so we can have something to play together, but everytime i try to buy the game it shows me this error: Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again.
I contacted the fraud department of my bank and they said that everything was fine. This has been happening since yesterday and i don't want to miss the winter sale.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that i also have every detail typed correctly.

Contact the card company itself and see if there's any holds on it for whatever reason.
Everything may be fine on the banks end, but it could be the actual card company itself.

Contacted the bank and the card company, it was clear.

Contacted the bank and the card company, it was clear.
Give it a day or so. Sale ends on the 5th, and I'm certain the Store system is being overloaded with purchases. You're not the only one on here who is having issues with the Store right now.

Steam are denying the issues and fobbing people off to their bank. Look at all the posts on here regarding failed purchases and all they are telling people is buy it again and wait 30days for the bank to refund you. Its not worth gambling to risk it again when I can get the same game for a few quid more at cdkeys that can be activated in steam. Steam has gone down hill in the last year and I have been unable to purchase F1 22, F1 Manager and had issues with FIFA 22 so tried to refund that as the game needed a fresh install every time you launch it, that got refused even though once again the discussions pages where full of people with the same issues, be very careful purchasing through steam right now, unelss you like the thrill of gambling

SO IM NOT ALONE! Okay! This happened to me yesterday. I know my card isn't frozen as I am able to make purchases elsewhere just fine! I contacted steam support and so far no response from them. I hope this issue is only temporary!

I bought Insurgency Sandstorm from humble 2 weeks ago and it worked, now when i try to buy something directly from steam, it acts like if killed someone.

I only came across this issue after I used pre-paid visa cards I got as a gift on Steam Funds. I did get hit with a steam market ban for 2 days but that hold has since then expired. I wonder if the pre-paid visa flagged my account more than what Steam told me.

I had a similar problem. Turned out I had a new phone number that was registered with steam and I had not updated my banking app with the new number. Once they matched the payment went through straight away. Maybe check all your details match?

Any update on your case? Steam replied back to me saying my bank actually is declining the purchases but I highly doubt that is the case. I have to come into contact tomorrow to see what is going on with my bank.

Bought Battlefield V with my visa debt card. It magically worked i guess. It's still happening to a lot of people so i still think its unstable.

Are you using the shop inside steam client or the general browser? Some cards require additional confirmation that goes in a popup window. And that window may get blocked by the browser leading to failed transaction without clue.

Honestly no idea, i'm guessing the servers got overloaded from the steam sale. It got fixed when the sale was about to end. Try waiting till the end to see if it gets fixed or not.
