Bro i bought three steam gift codes from a trusted reseller (Even steam has them as an official payment method) and they don't even work
i bought one 2 dollar code and one 1 dollar code just so i could buy this game i want, it worked, then i proceeded to use the 1 dollar one, after like 15 mins of trying, even contacted support and copied the key Directly from the message source, it wouldn't work so i shrugged it off and bought a 2 dollar code so i can finally get over with this and it shows up as an error again. Smh :steambored:

it's bought digitally so i couldn't send support the photos that they needed, but luckily i got a serial number from gcash. (where i bought it) So i hope it helps them - is there like an error going on in the servers rn that codes can't be redeemed?

A reseller isn't a payment method and you still haven't written what you bought and from what website.

The only one you have an issue with is the website that sold you a defective product and that is not steam.

I might be mixing my words here saying reseller but they're called GCash and when you buy steam wallet funds in the official steam client they're one of the four payment methods here..
I bought three codes of which two are defective, they're from this micropayment service called gcash, ill try contacting them right now and see if they can fix it
It's fixed now, all i had to do was wait a couple minutes for the code to be activated by the service i bought the code from

Funds in your Steam Wallet may be used for the purchase of any game on Steam or within a game that supports Steam transactions.
https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/
The Steam Wallet is neither a bank account nor any kind of payment instrument

funds added to the Steam Wallet are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Steam Wallet funds do not constitute a personal property right, have no value outside Steam and can only be used to order Subscriptions and related content via Steam
Would like to know how they are accepting Steam wallet funds... sounds pretty fishy.. If you had to "login through Steam" to use that site, I would make sure to change password and secure your account.

They're not accepting Steam wallet funds, but rather selling digital wallet codes to be redeemed on Steam. They do that in an official capacity, but they are also a payment method (as they are an e-wallet first and foremost) that can be used directly on Steam in the Philippines.

@OP Glad it worked out. Personally, I'd always buy directly from Steam for wallet codes if I'm buying digitally just to forgo any kind of odd issue's that might crop up. Cause when things do go wrong in a transaction that involves two or more companies...its not uncommon for each to point the finger at one another and no one to take ownership of the problem.
