These are some of the awesome modern features of buying non-finished product but for the final price. And the list of these is getting bigger every year.

Not mentioning that the Store is riddled with games that are offered the same way as NORMAL and SANE things--i.e. finished product without--any distinction. You clickbait on that awesome game--daaaanggg Eearly Access again.

Suck my hairy balls for this horrible modern nonsense, capitalism at its best. Selling unfinished thing under the pretense of the name of the game, so that other people GIVE you what they SHOULD BE PAID FOR; beta testing. Shame on you developers doing this.

Early Access games are clearly labeled. Bad games usually have mediocre or negative reviews. Whatever reason you're upset is your own, it doesn't project onto the rest of us who can manage gaming just fine without excuses.

It isn't hard. There's literally a warning explaining what EA is, not their fault you ignore it.

Then you ignored the warning on the store page that says "This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further" ???

"Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it DEVELOPS".

"This Early Access game is NOT COMPLETE and MAY OR MAY NOT CHANGE FURTHER. If YOU are not excited to play this game in its CURRENT STATE, then YOU should WAIT to see IF the game progresses further in DEVELOPMENT".

It really does not get any CLEARER than that.


As for the store you can EXCLUDE Early Access games from been shown to you.

Go to the preferences in your account and uncheck "Early Access" titles (don't forget to also update the Discovery Queue settings for it, if you use that one), they'll mostly be gone from visibility in the store then. Or just wishlist them and purchase them once you get an email saying they left Early Access.

The only one in this thread that is not making a lot of sense is you. Every one else seems quite aware of what Early Access means.

There are a lot of early access games that don't suck and need the earlier funding to make the game as good as it deserves to be. It allows consumers to help pick which games deserve to get fully polished. As long as there are standards for what qualifies as early access, it is an important system. Games take years to make, especially with small teams. Nova Drift and Soulstone Survivors are great early access games. Nova Drift is done by one guy.
