As for plans, whatever on my wishlist goes cheap.
If nothing is cheap enough I am out even faster. In the last few years I found nothing to buy in a winter or summer sale. It's more likely I get a better price on the regular sales. On top of that from 3rd party key sellers.
So excuse me if my exitement is very dampened.
The loss of the flash sales terminated any exitement left. It's more like looking on a weekly sales "event" from your local grocery store.
Long past are the days where whenever flash or daily deals rotated the store was brought to its knees for hours.
Ever since flash deals were gone now I take a VERY long time in curating my shopping cart during sales. I wish Steam didn't obliterate its content every now and then, forcing me to add the items again.
Noooo, Steam got rid of a yearly tradition, the lag !
but ye, I guess it's for the better. :P
what do you mean by obliterate its content? I've never had anything come off my wishlist or follow without my say so. - even games like Anno 1800 which were hidden by Steam when Ubi left.
Though as I said it's not unusual that I end up not purchasing anything.
It's also a sales mechanic that lost meaning over the years, flash sales stopped being 'flashy' years before they were removed from Steam sales.
It used to be more exciting with flash deals, but I appreciate the new state of things.
I like looking at my super long wishlist and narrow down to a few that I would actually play and get those.
Turns out I have so many games I don't really need to buy anything though.
Can relate to it... but
I've always been excited for winter sales, and once the clock ticks in, the excitement goes away after seeing the discounts.
Also, I stopped buying games for the past 2 years (horrendous amount of AAA games looked like they were still in early access).
I buy games that are 75% or more off and have a lot of positive gameplay reviews.
