PLEASE HELP. Download Witcher 3 Next Gen Update?

The huge Witcher 3 Next Gen update releases worldwide tomorrow on December 14. Very anticipated. But how do I actually download it? I have the game installed already on Steam. So does it just automatically update itself? Do we have to go somewhere or visit some page? Like what's the process here?

Maybe I bought Witcher 3 on GOG and just transferred it over. I don't really know. I don't remember. How do I check if the purchase was on Steam or GOG?

Nevermind. I found it. I logged into GOG and I never purchased it on GOG. I purchased Witcher 3 Complete on Steam. But on GOG it's currently 80% discounted. So I'll probably just buy it again on GOG because it's only like $13. If the mods for it on GOG are truly much better than the mods on Steam.

Uh why would you re-buy the game on GOG when you'll have the exact same content on steam? Also mods work the same on Steam and GOG. The nexux mods work exactly the same on steam as they do with the GOG version.

Like you're just buying 2 copies for basically no reason

The steam version already has the 'next gen' update. You just have to install the game on steam.
