GameAwards Steam Deck giveaway was terribly implemented.
I set an alarm for 1AM to watch the Gameawards and try to win one of the Steam Decks. However, after seeing this post on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/zh201f/yall_can_chill_out_now_about_the_bots/ I realized that Steam only registered me as watching 4 minutes of it, and I watched the whole thing. Is this really how watch time was counted for the prize distribution? If so, that's a really bad system, and it defrauded many users who thought they were participating in the raffle and in fact weren't.

This seems to have happened to many many users during the show.

Steam support couldn't help me on this matter. Did this happen to any of you?

If you happened to see long numbers instead of profile names winning Steam Decks during the event, that was a temporary display bug. Those numbers were the Steam IDs of actual people winning, but profile names were not loading correctly. Apologies for any confusion!

The Game Awards were streamed in 4K and if your internet was not fast enough to keep up you lost connection.

I watched the entire thing and only was credited around 37 minutes. Honestly be happy you missed it, it was just a very long commercial.
