When you launch steam and all the crap that pops up.
OK so when I fire up steam this is what happens. It launches on store page. Then it launches another whole separate store page advertising thing. Idk wtf its called. Its a whole other window that pops up with steam that is an addon of the main store page or some crap that showcases 10 or so trending games. Right now its Assasins Creed Valhala (click for details).

If I click the X at the top of this store page tab that launches outside of steam on its own it crashes my actual steam page to a blank black screen it crashes my friends list and it crashes itself then after 5 seconds they all come back. If i press "close" on that outside store page extension then it actually closes without crashing the rest of my "steamwebhelpers". None of this makes any sense and is rather frustrating.

Is there a way to establish something different in settings upon launching steam? Like can I have my steam launch right to my library rather than the store page which seems mandatory and Can i turn off this stupid store page extension pop up crap that crashes all my info when I try to exit from it? Like I dont want any of this crap. If i want to see the store page ill click on it. I dont need steam to shove that crap in my face every time straight launching on store page with another popup of trending showcased games on steam on sale or whatever. Srs just ♥♥♥♥ off please is there anyway to disable all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

Starting page change:
click on "Steam" on top left corner, then "settings", then "interface"
You should see a option with the text "select which steam windows appear when the program starts" with a droplist. IMO the best option is to set it start on your library.

on the same page at the bottom theres a "notify me about additions or changes to my games, new releases" etc. Uncheck that one, that's the popup ads you're seeing.
