JAST reached out to Valve/Steam about Muramasa and were told "We are not re-reviewing previously banned apps."
JAST (@jastusa)
There has been some interest in a #SaveMuramasa campaign to get Full Metal Daemon Muramasa's Steam ban reversed. We reached out to Valve in light of the Chaos;Head situation, and they assured us "We are not re-reviewing previously banned apps."

Steam won’t change unless they fire the bad apples that did this to begin with so there is no reason to be optimistic on valves future.

Sorry to burst your bubble but VNs not being sold on Steam won't remotely put a dent in their income.
It's not even VN's its a couple VN's here and there with hundreds of others that are being sold.

Personally I am glad thats another game by a bunch of child molester like creeps, that call themselves computer developers, that I will never have to encounter whilst browsing the already over populated store as it is.

Its about time Steam started taking out the trash.

People will project real hard to get those clown steam points.
I love how when "One company" claims they allowed a product to be sold that all products of the same notion will try to redo theirs, and while the game

Yeah....and therein lies the sticky wicket. Take CHaos Head. That was a rejection. Not a ban.

No need to play the semantics game. Rejected or banned at the end of the day a publisher got rejected to appeal a game "ban/rejection" and nothing really changed.

btw this is how the visual novel page looks like when you have sex literally on the thumbnail.

Edit: (deleted link) Yeah, I can't post that here since it's pornographic.
So thats not how that works, a banned game means it gets no second chance regardless of them editing it or not, Chaos head was rejected, meaning it had all the time they wanted to fix it and resell it, a banned game gets zero second chances, the irony here however is that these studios will whine and whine and whine because of the anime fandom about some VN getting kicked off

You know whats rather funny?

The two rape games that were banned off Steam literally didnt seem to mind that they were banned, others that got banned were asking for the developer, not the game to be okayed back

Yet for some reason its literally only the anime fandom that becomes feral when their access to imagination good feelings land, AKA VN's, is threatened, I seriously dont think out of any other group of games on steam I've ever seen such a more hostile side of gaming then the ones of banned VN's.

I also did a run to VNDB (Or Visual Noval Database the website) to check how many VN's exist right now btw, and why am I somehow not shocked that the list is sitting at 37330 total different games, with 20k of those literally having sexual content in them?

I like VN's, I read some of them from time to time but holy hell out of all communities and game themes, VN's are the most feral of them all when you theaten the 18+ side of em...

Yeah, uhhh perhaps because they knew what they were submitting into steam that they were like "alright". Muramasa got reprogrammed and sexual content removed so that it could be streamer friendly.

About the "hostility", people will get pissed when their freedom of speech gets violated and no, I don't think the VN community is hostile at all. You can't even tell if they exist unless you go into that rabbit hole. Banning games that are 18+ when you're an adult seems pretty cringe. 18+ doesn't necessarily means sex, it can also be mature content. The kind of story telling that will hurt your sensitive feelings.

Maybe you should give one a try, one that is story focused and not sex focused. you might have a breakthrough and gain a couple more IQ.

It got censored but the patches exist, I fully know what your talking about my guy, and you can download them offline, ironically steam also bans games on that prospect to, the fact that games on steam will put their 18 patch on steam are left alone says all that needs to be said, as they know the patch is also authorized by valve, the patches not from Steam, much ironically like screenshots that have modded images in the Bethesda game areas are removed to, this is why Valve hits those games off, as they have adult patches you can download for free and use them.

I dont literally care if the game is 18+ or not, hell I could careless about your lack of ability to read when I clearly stated I have VN's that I play but again this is why I said the feral nature of the VN fandom, not hostile nature, feral and hostile are not the same but whatever this is not about your lack of education.

This is about Steam banning another game that had adult patches off of steam, and they even have removed an entire developer from steam last year for when they were told they had adult patches not on steam and yes, Valve does ban games on the account if it has an adult patch not on steam, as thats bypassing ironically why the game would of been banned, by removing it and putting it else where for people to get just so it sells on Steam, I believe we call that Hacked Out if you will, a Hacked out game that patches something better in.

Yup. And of course they use language that of course paints them as the victim. WHich is why I made the point that there's a clarification between 'rejected' and 'banned'.
You can think of it as. Rejected means to didn't get in , banned means you were kicked out.

It is an old an venerable genere in the east due to the way their language structure works.

Except there are games in Steam right now that have patches off of Steam that you can download.

So they don't seem to really ban those like you're saying.

I think the ones who did the most graceful "bow out" and I actually do mean this in a good light, was Paradise Project, they had nearly 50ish plus VN's on steam and all of them while censored, had adult patches that you could get from their DL site, rather then try to fight Valve when they were confronted, they actually respectfully accepted Valves wishes to remove the games and they actually went and did so and thanks to that, Valve allowed those that owned their games to keep them, I still have mine despite their dev store being gone now, thats the grace of this situation, when you dont fight valve but actually nod and remove the games, you keep the ones you bought.

There are yes, but more to the point most of those dont need them for the story, for Nekopara you dont need the adult patches to know the full story, nor the adult patches for a few others still here, like even oddly a few Nutaku straight up adult games are on Steam, and for those unaware Nutaku are by far the king on the throne of adult gacha games and english made anime adult games, their sold on Steam but their adult sides are either removed to the point it wont impact the story or just left as a DLC, those are okay, but the problem comes down to why they need patches off of Steam, like at that point its like they didnt tell Steam that the game had adult themes in it and Valve are just unaware of that fact yet, but I may be totally wrong on that front I hope.
oh no another creepy hentai game got banned!

anyway... in my option they should remove all fetish stuff, including furry, hentai, whatever, cause it feels wrong to see them in a store where also families and kids buy their games.

Unless you dont know of the adult-only tab you need to click in your account prefs or are just repeating something others said about removing anime (blabla) lets not do this topic mate, the whole topic on "Anime/Hentai/Whatever bad needs removed" has been said so badly to death that the Reaper has gone tone deaf.

Yet it's my opinion, if you like it or not.

Also odd that you don't even realise how creepy these games are. Tells more about you than about me.

And I'm not here to argue with anyone, if you wanna fight for this "cause", go ahead.

I dont even care who you are in the smallest form, yes its you opinion, one that literally is repeated every other week on this forum that it might as well have its own echo chamber.

You mean just like the repeated scream for unbanning fetish games?

You see, you can keep trolling, or you start accepting that there are normal people on this platform as well. For fetish stuff there are probably other stores.

I wish you a nice day.

Normal people don't call other creeps on a weekly basis because of content they have to opt in to be able to see.
