I'm sure Valve would love a cheat-free world, we all would but it's never going to happen because some people can't play fair.
That's probably true to be honest because a lot of them with multiple VAC bans use it as a kind of status symbol to other cheaters, I'd be ashamed to have it on my profile page but it doesn't seem to bother some people.
I know what Valve should do with them but I can't post that here
Probably. The one with the lowest number of bans would be superior. Some people want the jewels, others just want to crack the safe.
The people making the cheats are usually not the ones using them. They get others to test their cheats for them

At one time going back quite a few years I don't think cheating was so bad, now every game I play someone on the server seems to have a VAC ban from another game. Some people never learn or don't care.
Ten years back, there were cheats, you just had no way of detecting them. I saw the wallk cheats in the original doom. The thing is. back then the scene was more about fun and not so much about ePeen.

I'd have to disagree, while VAC might take a while to remove these people with the delayed ban system I'd much prefer some kind of anti-cheat system than none at all.
One look at this forum shows VAC is doing its job.
I have no intention of going to a cheat site thank you. If you know something Valve don't then help them out and send it to them to stop these people. Edited for removal of the name.
My experience with vac ban has been very surprising.. Lets start with an idea:
KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION AND NOT TO DISCOURAGE OTHER PEOPLE.
1. Corporate Sales. 2. Sad but true. 3 .Since I have been banned from the game and POSTING, I will keep things very delicate so I don't get banned again by moderators. 4. I read many posts about vac bans and learned' I won't be specific because THEY like to grab you by your word and make you look like you are the worst peice of crap in the world. U GOT CAUGHT. Keep that in mind.
Here is my story, conclusions and consequences
I bought black ops 2 deluxe package. Keep in mind Im a dad with 3 kids, so that money did not come easy. I cant be specific about many things, because I have already been bashed. I will point out I have a ps4 platform which I HAVE NEVER BEEN BANNED, NEVER CHEATED, NEVER HAD A NEED TO CHEAT NEITHER. My k/d is 1.0. Kill rate 8-21 people per mach. AND i got my but kicked many times by other players, way better then me, that would be my ps online experience. When I got black ops 2 steam edition I was under the impression that their servers are secured. (no different then xbox or ps4) After all its 2016. Make a long story short. I bought the game and went online with it. yay. free online gaming, it seems like a brake to me. I had 20 hours of play time, during that play time I was lucky to make one kill, so I started to wonder what's going on? It seem so much harder. I started paying attention to other players, so I have seen with my own eyes. WALL HACK, AIMBOT, ETC. Perhaps I made a stupid decision. DID I? perhaps 80 bucks, spent on Father's Day, on the game wasn't smart. It wasnt right that when I bought it I was told THEIR servers were secure. (NOT... THATS INACCURATE IN MY OPINION.) so one day I just got so mad... I got tired of being a sheep getting slaughtered. I went to google and I downloaded VSAT. YAY, I GOT 8 KILLS IN THE GAME. guess what, I got vac banned the next day. Anyways I'm not sorry, (no more then corporate is sorry for me) I was cheated in a corporate way if you ask me. IN MY OWN OPINION. THEY said its secure. THEY said that bannes are effective within 2 weeks. I got banned within 1 day, and those hackers are still running black ops 2.. (Im not making a statment that steam or developers are wrong for vac bans) Im salty in a way. In conclusion if I spend that 80 bucks on xbox or ps4 I would have over 1 year of subscription. Thats what Im really salty about....I started watching posts for people getting vac bannned not just for bo2 but other games such as dota2 or cs it seems like every hour someone else had a similar experience as I did. Got vac banned one way or another, AND yes they lied their asses off to get it off so, SAD BUT TRUE. perhaps if developers would design a system that doesnt allow login with a cheat engine, a lot of people would still play. Personaly I think this idea is too good to be true for a guy like me. Ever since I got banned I stoped buying games... unless its free... I have plenty to say, but they will take my post down faster then I could say please stop, just hear me out.... If you read this dont respond, there is no need for that, just draw a conclusion for your self and think about it twice before you make the same mistake I did. Now Im not a hacker, im just a guy who got played, one way or another... there is no excuse for me using a VSAT so I got banned, but what about the real hackers out there who are getting away everyday.????????? if I start a new account and rebuy the game I bet you anything I will see a wall hack, or aimbot, or vsat or some other crazy stuff and I will deal with the same PROBLEM AGAIN... I guess Im sorry for not being slick enough for not getting cought. If you fixed your servers I wouldn't do it in the first place. THIS IS MY CASE. The same case that no one wants to hear let alone other people to see. I guess $80 headache aint worth it, neither is that VAC BAN in my profile..... I don't know you so I'm not going to start accusations but I will say this, I've been a gamer a long time and no matter how bad I'm playing I have never once even considered downloading a cheat, it's too easy to take that route which is probably why a lot of people do, it's easier to download something than it is to spend the time to get better, to me it's laziness.
People are not willing to put the time into a game to get better, I think they assume they'll never improve so they cheat, I've never understood that mentality.
People say Valve ban for money, if that were true then surely everyone on Steam would have a ban.
The simple fact is, people cheat, they get caught and they don't like being caught so will make up excuse after excuse, I've seen it for many years and the only thing that's changed in all that time is the excuses.
