Why on earth would Steam ever oppose a limit on the amount of games you can own?

Valve wants to sell games and the more games people buy the better it is for them.

You can own all of the games on Steam and Valve will just be happy that they made a lot of money.

I doubt it.

Is your PC dying already? If not, it won't die from a heavy load. And gaming is, quite frankly, a way heavier load than thousands of games in a library. Well, depends on the game I suppose, Solitaire is about as demanding as Notepad but Elden Ring, for example, ♥♥♥♥♥ your PC way more than Steam ever could.

A lot of that type of data(which games are in your library etc.) is either stored locally and just referenced to the servers or takes up so little amount of data(we're talking bytes) that it makes no difference to their servers.

The only limit is your wallet.

No limit. I've seen people with 10,000 games.

73,200+ games available on the store, your library most likely died out of the server before you briefly can see. There's no limit.

How about if we don't include free-to-play games? I wonder how much the numbers would drop.
67,800+ paid games. Sure how many money they buy, huh?

Well, you've reached the limit when you've bought everything available in the store, which will most likely never happen. :laughing_yeti:
