Don't forget to report the involved accounts, this may seem irrelevant, but it's very important
On Steam: How to Report a Scammer, Hijacker or Phisher
On Discord: How to Properly Report Issues to Trust & Safety[support.discord.com]
I'm guessing that's part of their scam plot too?
As soon as you said "Discord" and "reported for X-thing" credibility fell. It was scam in the past, it is a scam now and it is scam in the future.
Valve can see everything (account history, purchase, trading etc) without asking user's help. They own the platform. They can limit your access to trading or lock your entire account and it is ALWAYS the user who has to contact Valve support if there is an issue.
Valve NEVER contacts the user, not through Steam chat and ESPECIALLY NOT from 3rd party platform (Discord, TikTok, Skype etc). If you ever receive a more official looking message somewhere on your Steam account and it says "You have X-hour to do this" it is a scam. Timer is there to make sure user will panic and do as the scammer says.
