That REALLY depends on the disabilty. Are you blind? Deaf? Have motor issues? Something else?

Hi there. I'm partially blind, hearing is fine, I use a speech-to-text system incorporated into my wheelchair for typing. I also can't walk as I lost my legs during a brutal bear attack but that's never stopped me from gaming.

Depending on the severity of the blindness, I would recommend Civilaztion VI. The graphics are trash as they're made for the phone-game generation but if you can't see how trash they are, the gameplay can be a bit entertaining. I also think Skyrim would work. THat's a great game all around and does not require legs.

Yeah... I was about to say...

You should be more specific, because it depends on the disability.

The set of games that accommodate blind people are typically going to be mutually exclusive to the set of games that accommodate deaf people. :seewhatyoudid:

You should probably include that in the OP by editing it into the original post, if you're looking for recommendations for yourself. There was already a topic about this recently... let me see if I can find it. :seewhatyoudid:

Certainly.

The year was 1998, vacationing with my family in Montana. Me and regretfully, my son, Jeb decided to go on a hunting/fishing expedition up in Lincoln State Forest for some much needed Father/Son bonding time. On day 3, after enjoying a succulent mule deer that we had slain earlier in the day, a bear must have caught the delicious fragrant scent expelled by our campfire. While stationed in our camp, the bear sprung upon us out of nowhere in the later hours of the night, I had one few too many bourbons already by this point. I tried to fight the bear off of Jeb, who at this point was screaming for his life, but alas the bear was too strong and my measly stabs from my combat knife were merely grazing and angering the ferocious bear. I turned to grab my rifle, a trusty M25 Springfield. I was too late, the bear jumped on me from behind and in what felt like an instant but also an eternity, the bear had torn both my legs off. I managed to load up the rifle and take a shot just as he turned to resume his brutal attack on my son Jeb. I managed to hit him right between the eyes. To which he fell on Jeb, crushing him, to which he bled out from underneath the bears massive carcass.

I could never look at myself the same way again, failing to save my son. I turned my rifle on myself and shot myself through the throat into what I thought would be my brain. Turns out you need less of your brain than I first thought. I woke up in the hospital with no legs, a broken arm, broken ribs, a missing chunk of my face and a hole in my head after being in a coma for just over a week.

Now I always encourage people not to hunt, the forest doesn't belong to us, it belongs to the bears. I just wish I knew this before the death of my son, my wife and daughter leaving me and the loss of my home. Today I'm just a man wanting to life out the rest of his days in as much comfort as possible.

I'll look into those, thank you.

Yes and you only need one hand to play it you basically just move, no need to aim or anything :)

I can't recommend any games, since I don't have any major sight limitations.
But if you are willing to tread into the horror show that is Twitter right now, I can recommend 2 accounts who recommend games for people who are blind or have vision limitations:
https://twitter.com/sightlessKombat
https://twitter.com/stevesaylor
And of course- Can I Play That
