Cant pay for a game
For some reason every card I try I get the "Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company" message.

Is there an issue with anyone else trying to buy from Steam?

Same here, tried buying witcher 3 goty with my saved card, didnt work. Then another card, didnt work. Got like 20 failed ‘payments’ in my purchase history this evening lol.

Not sure wtf is going on.

Seconding what Shaggy has posted. Additionally, if your bank has online verification (secure with mastercard or something like that) steam deck and steam mobile don't seem able to show the pop up to allow you to authorise the transaction.
Attempting to pay on a desktop or Web seemed to work for me.

Damn, might be the issue. I’m on vacation in the mountains and tried buying on the phone steam app… gah.. well it’s available until the 29th i guess so…

As of this moment 20 million accounts online.

If that would be a widespread problem, the forum would be literally flooded with threads by users complaining they can't buy a game that's on sale right now.

If you read what it exactly says in the first post, it is the credit card company that declined the purchase, not Steam. The company declined your information. So one thing could be your credit card information is not correct on Steam.

Not correct. The credit company declined the information Steam sent them. If Steam sends the wrong info, the credit company will decline it.

Not saying you're wrong, just that it's not as simple as you seem to imagine.

I am also having problems buying stuff. I can't add funds or buy any games, it's just stuck on "waiting". Does Gaben not want my money or something?
