What's with all the rubbish Hentai titles?

Why are these being pushed so vigorously? I have tried hitting 'ignore' on my queues to indicate that I do NOT want them to appear, but they keep doing so anyway.

As a ♥♥♥ man, I could not be less interested in them, but even if I were straight, the objectification of women they entail would put me off ever buying them; quite frankly, I find them disgusting.

How do I stop them appearing in my queue?

As for whether or not they're being pushed, it's likely due to Steam's algorithm of putting new-games up for a day or so on the front page under "New and Trending". Also, pretty sure at least a couple people buy them, although the vast majority of them are indeed trash.

I would never EVER purchase a game made to wank to. But obviously hundreds/thousands of mouth breathers are.

So why the ♥♥♥♥ can't they just do us all a favor, and remove all these stupid garbage ♥♥♥♥ hentai games; and put them on the adults only store. That way people who own steam to actually purchase games, and not ♥♥♥♥, don't have to sift through hundreds of ♥♥♥♥ titles.

I don't think people buy them to WANK to them.. I know I certainly don't.. I happen to enjoy Jigsaw Puzzle games, so I typically buy them up at low prices.. plus I figure buying them will likely be beneficial when Steam finally decides to crack down and ban them all, which will happen eventually.

You can also manually exclude games with the "♥♥♥♥♥♥ Content" tag on Steam. Although given that the tag can cover such a broad range of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ content (i.e. a scene from Witcher 3), Valve could potentially add in a "H-Game / Hentai Game" Tag for said games, and you could exclude that.

One man's trash is another man's....well...I can't exactly say treasure with those titles but you get the analogy. There's a market for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ content oriented games, and as the age-old saying goes, "♥♥♥ Sells".

In any case though, I personally have never really seen the bulk of them unless I explicitly look through the "New and Trending" page on the front store, or if I played an "Anime" game then I get the occasional ♥♥♥♥♥♥ content oriented game, typically not the trashy VNs though, I more or less have to either go to "New and Trending" or explicitly search for them under the "♥♥♥♥♥♥ Content" tag page.

I'm pretty sure you can just exclude the tags and press the "Not-interested" button on the titles to make Steam show less of them.

You are confusing 2 kind of games here.
Steam does indeed sell uncensored ♥♥♥♥ games by now, BUT those games are hidden by default in the store.
You cant see them nor access their store pages without activating the " ♥♥♥♥♥♥ adult content" option in your account settings.

The games you see on the store that annoy you do not contain any ♥♥♥♥. They most of the time do not even contain nudity. They are really not different from any other kind of shovelware you nowadays find on the Steam store in the thousands.

Also there is a big difference between legit Visual Novels and the 99 cent trash that floods the store and is not even from Japanese developers. Just someone slapping a few anime pictures on a puzzle game.

The "hentai" games you see cluttering up the steam frontpage aren't VNs or actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games, those games don't come out often enough to be able to clutter up the page like that and are hidden with filter options.
