Also the game forums are run by the developer of that game and they have their own set
of rules. They can ban you for whatever they want.
If you go into a strangers house and start to shi*ttalk them, dont be suprised if you get thrown out.
You are on a privately owned website.
"Freedom of speech" does not apply on private sites.
Grow up.
Perhaps read more about the 'freedom' you're talking about, instead of just spewing words you think you understand. because you clearly do not.
As a 'consumer' I have a right to complain getting falsely accused for piracy is not a nice thing to do.
voicing my opinion and making a joke and getting banned for it what a great platform Steam has become.
After keeping my mouth shut for the most part but after seeing so many games flocking off to epic games store Jabba the Hutt needs to get off his pile of money.
Because some of those games I actually wanted to buy but I don't have the money right now.
And it looks like some of the games will be permanent exclusives on the epic games store and I want it to keep most of my games on Steam but it looks like I'm not appreciated enough here.
You have until the end of the year to get yourself together.
If you don’t do that I will slowly move to other platforms like GOG or EGS I’d have slowly build up my game library over there.
And what will happen to 200 games on Steam?
This is the game devs / forum admins doing that and nothing to do with steam.
You're starting to convince me.
Why would I ever support anything with my money that wasn't an advocate for freedom of speech?
I'm gonna guess you're not in public relations, you'd do a bang up job!
You dont seem to understand what 'freedom of speech' is. Since its apparently you failed Civics 101

Here's a primer

You have until, right now, ot read the rules and stop breaking them
If you magically think breaking the forum rules on GOG makes you immune consequences you're living in a fantasy world
Your '13 years on steam' doesnt give you any free pass to break the forum rules. the rules apply to EVERYONE equally.
I didn’t break the rules I just got banned for giving opinion of Anno 1800 becoming EGS exclusive and making a joke yo ho yo ho and a bottle full of rum how was that breaking the rules.
I don’t care about GOG or epic games store all I care about is having good games to play.
If Jabba the Hutt doesn’t get off his lazy bum and improve Steam and produce actual video games “not copying other games”.
I’m going to build my game library’s elsewhere I’m no longer going to buy all my games on exclusively on Steam
I came here voicing my concerns and complaints about the future of steam in an earlier post but Valve decided not “delete it” not even closing just deleting it
Talking about piracy isn't allowed, not even as a joke, and not even if you pretend that's not what you meant.
