Will I get banned for using a VPN in order to connect to another country?

I don't want to buy games or activate any CD keys. I just want to play PUBG which is region locked, but my foreign friend lives in Slovenia, so I would get matched with people that are around Slovenia instead of getting chinese cheaters and russian talking teammates.

you can play a game with VPN but youre not allowed to buy an item or any payment to reduce price on steam.

Im not sure about any games, but I can tell you from years long experience that Steam/Valve itself doesnt care at all if you do and nothing can happen.

While maybe not fully applicable to PUBG, Valve also understands that the enjoyment of other players can be detrimentally affected by having someone in their team who VPN's from God knows where to God knows there and the (crap) ping that goes with it.

Always check a multiplayer game's terms and conditions before doing this. Some MP games do not allow VPNs. Fortnite is famous for its purges of users using VPNs for example.

ah i see i never play fornite thou but i'll remember that. I use vpn when playing csgo and dota and never get problem with those game but dunno about other multiplayer game i had ussually i didnt use vpn cuz it will also slowed my ping

It's safe to use VPN to play games.

Only thing that you shouldn't do is change Store country to another country while you're using VPN.

generally speaking, if the game uses region locked servers then it isnt a good idea.

If the servers are not, then sure, use it.

PUBG added the region lock last year for a reason. I you want to put your account at risk, that is up to you.

Yeah, they did it for a reason, but I still don't understand why there are so many chinese people in TPP and sometimes in FPP while I'm in Europe. People in NA experience the same thing, especially the ones that live on the west coast. Maybe that's why they get banned and complain that they haven't cheated, but still got a ban?
