Always a good question to ask yourself when worrying about insignificant ♥♥♥♥.
Well, that depends on you. Do you get satisfaction when you get achievements? If so, it might be worth it to pursue them.
For me I can say I don't care about them. I don't try to get achievements and I don't look at them. If they remove them completely, nothing will change about the way that I approach my games.
I'm mostly glad that it's just a small little pop-up when you get an achievement, not the larger prompts (with annoying sounds) you get on the consoles. Though I haven'tchecked whether I can turn that one off.
