i was banned on the DBD steam forums cause i broke a rule the moderator just made up!
there is only the steam forum TOS listed as "RULES" and nowhere did it say anything about "misinformation"!

the moderator banned me without warning for breaking a rule that is not listed! this should not be allowed!

It could fall under "Religious, political, and other "prone to huge arguments" threads" on the Steam rules.

You can submit a ticket to steam but they will just tell you that even if they agree you did nothing the devs have their own mods and can make their own rules. There is nothing steam support can do really on a dev controlled moderation team on their forums.

They are allowed to make up any rules they like above and beyond what valve endorses.

All you can really do is make a review warning other players about the problem. Stay away from that forum since you have a bad mark now they will be watching if you fart wrong.

Spreading misinformation is not, generally, desirable. Seems to be a good situation on which to act.

Moderators have final say. Making posts like this will change nothing. Steam will not remove the ban. These kind of topic just get locked or deleted.

Game hubs often are moderated by the game developers/publishers and their appointed moderator team. Steam support by default provides assistance with the report queue, but the game developers/publishers can opt out of that.

They can ban you for whatever they feel like, as it's their turf as far as Valve/Steam Support is concerned. And no, OP, it doesn't matter what you think should or should not be allowed in that.

Respond to your ban message and make an appeal. Otherwise, no one really cares about your ban.

I think he means "giving misinformation" although that may fall under something.

Basically misleading people with a lie or half truth. To what end, who knows.

i wish there was a killer choice of going against casual solo q survivors of varying skill levels than a high mmr swf group of any size! i dont want to stomp noobs but i dont want to get reamed by a 4 man cheat with friends on comms. there should be a separate gamemode for killers who want to play against swf and killers who want a fair game! and for those morons who can only say "get gud" or "people just want to play with their friends" or "if the killers had a choice they would never play against swf"

1 get gud is never the answer if the swf on comms has a major advantage against the single person

2 people just want to play with their friends.....i dont want to play with your friends and if i wanted to play with my friends i cannot play killer and still progress cause i can only play with my friends in custom games!

3 if the killers had a choice they would never play against swf.........maybe there is a reason killers hate playing against a stacked team!



if survivors want to play with their friends then they should not progress like killers who play custom games!
swf survivors should not be able to change their load outs or characters while in pregame lobby with killer

They don't have to list exact rules just so you can try to lawyer your way out of a ban. Also, if you need written rules to know that lying is wrong...

Honestly it looks like you just got banned for your opinion on their game mechanics.

Yeah I would avoid that place in the future. Pretty clear to me they don't want you there.
