Steam and Age restrictions

Steam and Age restrictions

Can someone inform me on Steam and age restrictions ? I'm 13 , almost 14 , years old and wonder if I could play games for older people , If I have my parent's permission .

13 for steam, age restriction will pop up per game viewed in store. There's no verification process though.

Steam will not check what games you play. If your parents allow you to buy those games and play them then all is good.

That is a guide on the age you should be. If your parents buy the game for you, steam won't ban you or anything for playing age restricted games. Its your parents and your choice if you can have a game. Just be careful, as you don't want to see anything VERY disturbing if you are under the age rating

Thank you , I buy the games myself , but my parents do allow me to buy and play anything . I have my limitations tho , the most cruel game I have is Killing Floor , but I don't play it . God bless :)

i started using steam at 8, nobody care about the ''contract'' because in canada the legal contract age is 18 + so 13 is pointless anyway.

Anyway to buy thing on the store you need a cc that require you to be at least 18 + too, so if your parent buy you game/gift card, they allow you and they accepted the contract by default

Ok so I am good entering my parents age during age verification and not my own because I know for a fact that they dont care what I play. I mean everything is all mine but still

I know most people lie about there age online but I am trying not to lie anymore about it as I have been seeking god recently and well the bible says not to lie.

I am 15 just turned 16 so I think i am good
