Always online is part of the EG package. It should be fine when it reaches Steam.
But I would really like to have the 1 and 2 on Steam too. Maybe in the future we'll see them here, Square is porting their console games to PC lately.
If you buy it on Steam, you have it on SteamDeck
Anyway. You should contact SquareEnix for this is Valve's domain and they can't do anything about it but contact Square, as well.
Note that they're way too focused on more Final Fantasies and NFT's to give a damn about such a request, however.
And now I wait for undeserving jester awards like you lot did to Cathulhu, for stating facts. Wack.
Valve doesn't contact them. They just pay the app fee and add the game to the database to get it on Steam. They don't even need to contact Valve.
The Kingdom Hearts ports on Epic are rock solid. You can safely buy them on Epic.
There is absolutely no need for a Steam port and it's very likely there will never be one, since the typical exclusivity window as long expired and, more importantly, Epic Games helped port the series to PC.
Kingdom Hearts is one of the most beloved franchises in gaming, PC gamers should be thankful to Epic for making a PC release happen instead of repeatedly asking and eternally waiting for a Steam release that'll very likely never happen.
The games are on PC. That's all that matters.
The rog ally is not bad, but it suffers from the same jank any handheld PC running windows gets.
The Kingdom Hearts ports on Epic all require an internet connection to play them at all. That's absolutely not "rock solid."
Plenty of games on Steam that do that too, Valve never cared and I doubt Square would remove their DRM for a Steam version. Ports are still rock solid and I'm fairly sure you have an internet connection.
