you keep saying
beveled edge
what do you mean? what beveled edge? where?
how about a link to the ram you have
if it is sliding into the slot, and being read, it is making the contact it needs
Or share the model number located on the sticker adhered to each RAM stick.
We can make educated guesses, but if it's constantly "No", then it's photo time.
If you mean that the outer edges aren't as 'deep' as the center portion of the RAM, that is normal especially depending on the kit. But, it's definitely photo or model time.
Just look up any DDR4 ram, you can clearly see the "beveled" edges on it.
Also it is being read, but if only part of the pin connectors are longer than the other part (the depth between connector ports), how is it being seated properly and being able to function right?
Yes this is what im trying to say
Uh, yes it will.
If your computer recognizes the stick, it's connecting just fine.
One can always hold a ramstick to the slot, if in the correct direction and everything lines up; clearly, it'll work. Though it sounds like it's already installed and recognized, so there's zero issues.
It's pretty near impossible to do rthat unless you're doing something VERY wrong.
