Why don't you just stop playing the game if the only thing you do is complaining about it?
Well it is a pretty broad colloqialism, and I'm sure you get ten people with strong opinions about what officially constitutes hacking and what doesn't, and they'll all have some differing opinions about it.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hack the most appropriate definition casts a pretty wide net and it doesn't speak to specifics or technical expertise required. Regardless of how a person gains unauthorized access to an account it could be called hacking. Sure you can split hairs and argue that most users get phished. But what is phishing, but a hacking technique?
I'm not sure what people get out of wasting everyone's time trying to quibble what "hack" really means. It's a commonly used colloqialism, people were whining incessantly about its "misuse" over twenty years ago, and that didn't solve it, and the genie isn't going back in the bottle now. Kinda seems like it's already been settled and resisting the natural evolution of language is as pointless as resisting the tides.
Now, please enjoy yourselves while you tear me to shreds for suggesting there's any pedantry afoot over terminology.
Well that's the dictionary definition, I did talk a lot about colloquialisms, or is that not convenient to address?
I mean we refer to a lot of cheating in multiplayer games as hacking, and that doesn't involve gaining unauthorized access to accounts or systems either.
It's kinda hard to go "hurr durr, most people don't know what it means" when it's been a catch-all term for everything for decades and there's really no expectation that it's anything else in most contexts.
by the way why do you even say someone you reported him for cheating?
That's the only way he knew you reported him
all the other players stayed in the game . i was the only one who had to abandon because the game was too laggy for playing . nobody else complained . why was the only one with trouble ?
and how can be possible for that someone to do something like this ? i thought cs go is a safe game . so you telling that at any moment someone can distroy your sesion ?
i got a cool-down for abandonning the game for that ...
What if that someone decide to overwhelm the server several times ,and me and some other players in the same situation get cool-down several times ,and ends up beeing cool down longer ? and they are not guilty for nothing ...just saying .,,
When servers are crashed nobody gets a cooldown.
