It does.
This is the extent to which blocking assists you to avoid engaging blocked users.
Users who don’t have those same people blocked don’t have to do anything to see the posts.
It does. You don't see their replies unless you specifically want to.
But: you don't own these forums, and this is a public forum. You can't deny anyone access to Threads just because you feel like it.
If they are in good standing they can post. Secondly you do not own a thread you are merely the one who started it and by doing so invite replies.
Keep in mind that threads you create aren't "your" threads, they belong to the community. So the community can participate, even if you don't want them to.
Best thing to do is just ignore them if they're already blocked. Giving them the reaction of knowing you still look at their comments is what they want.
As previously stated making a thread doesn't mean you own it. Forums are public and everyone is allowed to post on public forums. If you want to have private discussions you can make a group where you have the ability to control who is allowed in.
They have the freedom to post anywhere on the forum, you have the freedom to not listen to them.
You don't see their post, or their profile unless you willingly click into it. The most you might see is someone else quoting them which you can easily ignore.
Also you blocking someone doesn't prevent them from seeing your messages and profile. Again, you will NEVER be able to restrict what OTHER people are able to see on a PUBLIC forum. It's really simple.
They are allowed to post and read all the content on the public forum if they wish, you can't restrict them from that.
