Account banned, and I dont know why
When I woke up today I had this name and got this message:
"This Steam account is associated with suspicious activity, and Valve decided to block your account.
Your account will be blocked by the terms of the Steam subscriber agreement. The ban cannot be removed by Steam Support.

To prevent losing your valuable skins, we allow you to send them to your storage account or your friend's account within 1 hour.

In addition to the violation of the contract, activities on the account may violate federal law and state law.
If such activities persist, Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to authorities."
Can someone help me get rid of the ban please?

this is scam.... your account is compromised....

hijacked account

The Steam community recommends 5 steps, done in order, to make sure that the scammer's bot is not only kicked out of your account, but also cannot get back into your account again through malware or using Backup Steam Guard Codes.

Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/ is one possible tool if you don't have one already.

Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage (scroll down to "Concerned your credentials are saved on another device?" and click the button that says "Deauthorize all other devices." DO NOT remove your Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator).

Change your Steam account password from a clean device.

Generate new Backup Steam Guard Codes https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage (scroll down to "Get Backup Steam Guard Codes" and click the button that says "Get Backup Codes").

Revoke your Steam account's Web API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey if needed (if you see a blank field after "domain name", then the scammer did not register a Steam Web API Key).

Make sure you check the API key again after finishing all the other steps in case the hijacker's bot added it again after you removed it earlier.
Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for Malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your mobile app https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (the APIKEY should not contain anything)

DO NOT TRADE ANYTHING.
Your account is compromised.
Anything you trade away is gone and will not be returned.

Aye, your account is compromised. This is apart of a common scam. I mean seriously, when have you ever gotten in trouble on some site and they give you a warning of impending doom and clear path to mitigate the consequences.

"Dear citizen, the police have decided you have some suspicious activity at your home and have gotten a warrant to confiscate your house. You have one hour to move your valuables to a neighbor's house before they're confiscated by the police."

It's silly.
Any time a message from "Steam Support" mentions something like 'valuable skins', that's a dead giveaway. Don't trade those skins, because whoever is messaging you likely has some way to hijack the trade. Change your email and password associated with the account and you should have no other problems.
I don't think Steam would ever threaten legal action, even if you were using Steam to so something illegal. 100% a scam.
Thanks for All the replys, I think I got it fixed :steamhappy:

Just remember for the future; Steam Support does not reach out to you directly through programs like Discord or through Steam's chat. If your account was truly in danger of being banned, you'd log into some sort of pop-up warning most likely
Stay away from skin sites if I was u :cozybethesda:

And this would happen inside the Steam Client itself.

That site you have in your name history is likely responsible for capturing your credentials and shadow-hijacking your account. Avoid all those in future else this will just happen again.

I should have been more specific, I meant "log into Steam"

Could also be why OP has the default question mark icon.

I would assume the same. I don't understand why people use those random sites.
Because people are dumb.
Sounds like a scam, from support imposter
