Game with a playable minotaur?
Hello I am looking for a game where we can play a minotaur, or at least have one as ally/companion. Do you know a game like this? Not necessary something on steam, games like this are rare enough...

Thanks for ideas. Didn't know for Terraria.

The character on don't starve have to be bought, or the skin i don't remember what it is. And if it's just a skin it's not really fun.

I am really looking at any type of games.

Some early role-playing games differentiated themselves from the competition by including exotic fantasy races. I don't think this has been common since the 1980s, though. Retro indie RPGs might have this as an option.

In the 1990s, though, fantasy-themed strategy games started including every mythological creature their developers could think of, including minotaurs. The Heroes of Might & Magic series is like that. You can play as a minotaur and have a minotaur army behind you.

Moddable games have brought some variety back to fantasy RPGs. For example, you could download a mod for Skyrim that lets you play as a minotaur.

Minotaurs are so cool!
The few games that I know of that you can play as a proper minotaur would be World of Warcraft as the Tauren race.

Blood Bowl 2 has minotaur race with various minotaur characters.

There are various of games that has mods that allows you to play as a minotaur with potentially proper skeleton rig and character model, but I have never tried any of those so I can't vouch for their quality. The modding community have been very enchanting to all of us though!

Here's a few examples I was able to find;

Baldur's Gate 3 has a mod that allows you to play as a minotaur.

And as matt mentioned, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim also has couple of mods that allows you to play as minotaur, and have minotaur companions.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion also has a playable minotaur and companions mods.

As for minotaur companions, I know several games has that, it's not as uncommon as minotaur protagonist.

For example I know that there's a game of Pokémon-alike and 2D RPG mixture that lets you tame and battle with minotaurs by your side;

I think this post is getting terribly long now so I should probably break it off here! You can try to look up some keywords such as "playable" or "protagonist" and eventually "companion" along with "minotaur", the search results should inspire you to find something to your liking!

Deary me this has been an excruciating post to compile! I hope this has been of any help even the slightest!

I know of a couple but they’re porn games. If you have any self respect I wouldn’t recommend them. I of course, have none.

Thanks for answers, I already play/ed to Oblivion and Skyrim with a minotaur mod. Oblivion is interesting because we see them in the world, and they have some lore with the first Empire. (But not enough lore)
I play Idle Champion too for the minotaur hero. Only searching to make him stronger. (Lucky he got some nice mechanics)

Baldur Gate 3 seem to be interesting but I will not play when it's still in early access. I don't want to miss a part so I wait for it. And for a rpg like this I think play a minotaur with a mod mean we have 0 interaction about it. If it was in the base game then i suppose some npc would react when they see us.

That's sad to not see them in modern gameworlds. If someone see this post in the future I think the MMO Ashes of Creation will have a race who can look like a minotaur with the character designer.

Tested Grimrock, i really don't like. We don't really see our characters.

There is Rimworld with mods too. But it's mods...

Dark Age of Camelot has a Minotaur class that you can play on every realm. It's a 20 year old MMO, but I still go back and play it because it's better than most games/mmos available today.
