"The Quarry" comes up as a Demo when downloaded through a shared library?
I currently have my game library shared with a few other people. Normally, when they download a game from my library, they're able to play the full game, no problem.

Some time ago, I bought "The Quarry." I can run the full version of it just fine on my pc; however, when someone downloads the game through my shared library on their own pc, the game runs as a demo instead of a full version. Why is that? Is there a way to fix this, so that the people with whom I shared my game library can play the full version of "The Quarry"?

Also, I noticed that under the game's properties, there is a checkbox under the DLC tab that says "The Quarry - Full Game Unlock." I know for sure that DLCs cannot be shared through the library; would this be the reason why the game is opening up as a demo for other people who have access to my library?

No, DLC can be shared via Family Share.
Also just tried with "The Quarry". I own it on this account and then logged into my second account with Family Share active.
"The Quarry" showed up in the shared game list with the " Full Game Unlock" DLC too and i could install it.
What does not work is just sharing the DLC if both own the main game.

I think what happened is, since the full version of the Quarry is just the demo that includes the entire game + the Unlock DLC as a package your friend has at some time added the free demo to their account. And Steam know counts that as both owning the full game and does not share the Unlock DLC.

Tell your friends to go to their account setting page and there on the license page remove the Quarry Demo from their licenses.
https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/
Or just right click it their library, manage and " remove from account".
Then restart Steam. After that the full version + the DLC should show up in the Family Share games list.

I figure you're both talking about this?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1891950/The_Quarry__Full_Game/

I find it confusing since it's not directly for sale but there's this bundle which includes it

https://store.steampowered.com/sub/727612/

badly designed, I don't even get a discount for ownintg the base version, which is somehow pricier at 13.49 like the deluxde edition compared to the 11.99 for this

The game dev/pub set up the bundle. If they chose not to offer a Complete Your Set bundle, that is their choice.

The base game shouldn't even be bundled lol that DLC that comes bundled with the base game is the demo (I assume) since it's just the game but not the "full" game...

You can't even buy the "Full Game" without that bundle.

The Deluxe version is (while it's discounted with -85%)

$69.99 -85% = $10.49+tax for me and the base game is $59.99+tax -85% = $8.99+tax. Some Devs don't offer a deluxe/whatever edition discount for the base game owners (that's slimy) if they don't, don't buy it/their DLC. Simple.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
