Dunno anything about Dead Cells but Hollow Knight has a pretty strong reputation as a metroidvania. It's got a particular aesthetic to it, of course; dunno how much that's up your alley.

Dead Cells is a Roguelike, Hollow Knight a Metrovania. Really depends on what you like more but I'd go with Hollow Knight.

Dead Cells is still a good game but I enjoyed Hollow knight more.

Deadcells is pretty fast paced, lose in an instant kind of speed run hack and slash. Hollow knight is like a more atmospheric game with good boss fights, items, restore points. Both are good.

I like Dead Cells personally. Hollow Knight looks alright but i'm not that into the bug and insect theme
