I got banned from CoD Modern Warfare 2 Beta and also Warzone for no reason and found out why

I got banned and now I just found out why, I think it will help other people from getting banned for the same reason as me.

They said it was for unauthorized software and the software is a cpu limited software. If you are using a cpu limiter software stop using it.

Warzone 2.0 is coming out and I hope no one gets banned for no reason. I am also hoping I don't get banned, I am going to make sure my cpu limiter software is not running when I play Warzone 2.0. If you have it running you will get banned after 1 online game so remember to turn it off.

Also the cpu limiter program I was using is called Process Lasso.

A filter called PROCMON24 and I had to disable it or turn it off by using this shutdown command shutdown /r /f /t 0.

That's a legitimate Microsoft driver and shouldn't cause a ban.

Considering the game is probably just like any other Activision game in that you cannot modify anything in the game at all, without it resulting in a ban. Even the menus in the game are secured.

So my bet on the reason for the ban is cheating and that's a safe bet too.

So, congrats I guess. Your account got a ban in a game that is not even released yet and the ban will stay on that profile, forever.

Hope it was worth it .

If op dosent cheat then it shouldent be a problem
and no there is always more to it then "for no reason".

They never realize that the only way it would be for "no reason" is if that were the name of what was detected.

Well you used a third party software to boost your performance and give and unfair advantage so... cod also states it in rules no third party softwares are to be running to give you and advantage it says or somthing similar.

I got game banned during the mw2 beta for having my work virtual machine on the same PC. Just tried again with MW3 on a new account and it happened again. This is so dumb

Maybe because it's the VM that triggering the anti cheat?

You ban was probably extended to cover all new CoD titles. You can check that on Activision's site.
