A) Use Steam mobile app, and use it QR scan to login, there zero typing, no name & password to type out, just click login on phone, that easy.
B) Get your own PC.
If the other people in your place gonna steal your account they would've done it already, as they already know login name, and password, assuming you turn off 2FA on your account for whatever reason.

Ppl can easily know your phone code living together bcs they see it and can just grab your phone when you live in a share house of share dorm with different roommates. so one click QR login. what if there is not space for full gaming pc in the place? there are many reason for sharing a PC. perhaps no finances so all roommates share a good pc.. Not everyone is rich you know and with the inflation and economic problems.. things will only get worse and electric outages and products scarcity... when ppl thought 2019 was normal then after c19 things go harder, it will get way super harder.. off topic but the liquid is failing too with all the side and RIPping after effects, the reverse analysis is the QR is also privacy, security failing so both are equal in effect so why remove and pretending that QR is so called SAFER.. this is more including privacy tracking your smartphone.. everything devices and account not network connected and separated is the best privacy against things like NSA illegal 3rd parties sold out privacy breech...
This is My Computer, but i let the other use it while i'm working. Bu i don't want them to use my Steam acc cause they sometimes get rude and already get VAC-Banns on their own accounts and i don't want to get it cause of them.
Idem Ditto about smart phones, the problem at some point what is going to happen is similar to apps.when you don't have the newest version of smartphone anymore, the smartphone system and update won't match the QR updates anymore so you always need to buy the newest smartphone.. this is some app and QR capitalism going on here.. forcing you to by monopoly trash when your phone just functions fine for basics needs... RIP OFF 21 century.. and world leaders all screaming about too much human activity imprint.. all these resources for smartphone mining destroys and contaminates small power toxins for humans in land, water and air... so da crap we doing as humanity?? lets just extinct humanity since whatever humans do and say is one giant double standard bias,♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hypocrite system.. we are not evolving at all, even though technology facade makes us appear we are evolving as human species.. just a facade coating over the rot.

If we go by your example they have access to your stuff either way even if don't use Steam mobile app, so that was pointless, can say hey I got email 2fa, but how you think they got your steam info in the 1st place, they would have email info as well, so either way look at it, they know it if they wanted to take stuff from you like that.
3. If you're living with others to save money, yeah.... Can save overtime, instead of blowing money on other stuff I seen people blow it on drinks, crap they don't need, and whatever, or even stop buying over price stuff like paying extra for fansy food, or what not, there are options you may be able to plan out to save money, and get important things you need, or want that cost a bit, even 2nd hand products can work for you if on tight budget, hence why people resell things they don't want, there also major sales where stores try to offload laptops because they want to make room for new ones have to watch out for when that happens as they sell really fast.
Ah ok, umm that not good if they're going out of their way to get vac as last thing you want it virus on your system that happens open backdoor on your PC, if they happen to install something that toggles on key bind yeah you might get hit if play a VAC protected game, so either you tell them get their own PC, or can tell them what up that they shouldn't be doing things that get into trouble for.
Do you have a smart tablet? Do you have a cell phone that can receive SMS? No does not need to be smart phone in order to receive SMS text. If have both then you can use Steam mobile app that way only need SMS text once to activate app on my android / apple tablet.
You don't need newest phone in order to do QR scan, but problem is the APPs themeselves that made by others that isn't just doing basics, Steam mobile app is not light, but it doesn't require you to buy newest phones, nor was that the goal, if you were using QR code to scan products at stores, or etc to get links to sites, or info what it about, you can use basically any QR scan app, but if it something system specific like logging, or not something can just scan to see product online, then that be app they made that isn't just doing basics that where more resorces comes into play, and how well app made.
This is now later in the future you will get cooperation with steam and smartphones, to profit.. it always starts out ''ohh no need'' but once everyone is in it and hooked and trapped that is when they will start to do it and ppl are just beta weak ppl and not Alpha to realize and protest.. ppl should look back on things that started out innocent and fine, but then they were forced to do things they did not wanted at start.. after some years when ppl even forgot, they did not even remember it was all a trap hoax psy op :''| This is how stupid population is in 21 century. our grandparents were even sharper with worse education and had better brains, critical thinking, analysis and memory progress and conclusion..

You totally read my comment totally wrong from your intellectual lacking capabilities. I was referring of what is to come and not now.. now they remove old login where the steam guard was that daily logged in PC code ID is registered as frequent so any form of verification is not needed.. you do know that all Steam users in the past never participated in BETA or ALPHA versions bcs everyone liked the old steam, so steam decided to just update all users into new form of their wishes.. Summarized: now the old steam ID verification is removed and you have e-mail, QR with smartphone and then you have turn off steamguard [so if you want old login with no verification they force you as some bully to get turned off steamguard why no put the old PC ID verification? which was more AI TECH EFFICIENT, CONVENIENT, CUSTOMER SMOOTH SMARTER BTW] So see the steps of transition? Later in the future not now [which your literature capabilities failed to get in my previous comment and started to call me bad logic] the email will be removed and only QR is available forcing all ppl to use QR or get no services.. at this point they are playing for smartphones.. since the system could become heavier and the app changes in the future plan and development with updates and systems that don't match anymore to new smartphone versions per perhaps 2/3 years.. and then what?? You are not thinking of what is possible in the future.... and call me bad logic person
Edited: A very simple thing, when they put the old option back with steamguard as selection in manage steamguard login.. I dare steam to put that up again, bcs I am sure once everyone finds out that old option is back as option, every steam user will use and select the old login IU and dump QR code login... they are just forcing you to use QR code bcs it is faster without no fuss compared to e-mail. don't you understand basic persuasive psychology?? and you call me bad logic again smh Also explain to me why Steam wants to persuasive psychology push us all to QR code?? since the comparison of 3 available options looks like this.
