if they cant confirm a delivery to you and steam then
its still a problem for fedex to solve internally...
fedex do have to confirm loss first dont they...
Valve really made a mistake using a delivery box with artwork that clearly says whats inside.
Leading to a ton of Steam decks getting stolen on the way to their buyers.
Be it by the delivery drivers or warehouse workers.
Because the Steam Deck´s go for like double what they cost on Steam on EBAY and such.
Valve should have used neutral packaging with no visible clue whats inside and i bet a large amount of those " missing" Steam Deck´s would not have happened.
You have to contact FEDEX and get a confirmation by them that it was indeed stolen/cant be found.
Then you can contact Steam Support about it with the information from FEDEX.
Usually you should then get a replacement unit and FEDEX will reimburse Valve.
Of course since the Steam Deck has a long waiting list and each produced unit is preordered it may take a while till they can send you a replacement.
LOL I didn't know about the box artwork... can't believe they did that.
It's like a big "STEAL ME" sign.
You have to wonder what kind of moron would decide to do something like that, but then again we are talking about Valve employees.
If it never left the warehouse it was almost 100% stolen, such a bummer i really wanted to get it.
this guy also says to contact valve/steam and let them handle it all...

as in the past others have reported steam accounts being
locked by steam for doing this...
you are always better off getting a refund from steam/valve
