Steam deck vs FedEx
Will the steam deck order issue of dealing with FedEx be important enough for valve to address?! Seems FedEx doesn’t live to its promise of delivery dates on delivering the steam deck when when already have to wait months on the waiting list to order a steam deck . Shouldn’t valve show it’s customer that the months of waiting was worth it by ensuring confidence with a better delivery service?! Free over night shipping with tracking and email or text proof of FedEx timeline delivery that the product is moving to its destination. I’m already dealing with FedEx trying to track it. FedEx excuse is alway, they’re busy ( why put a promised date of delivery on its tracking record then?!) it’s being almost going into the 2nd week now. FedEx just say they’ll see if…seems like a big “if” they can upgrade it by my suggestion to over night and will call me back in 3-4 days (this will be the 2nd repetitive promose of calling me back in 3-4 days to see where it’s at 🙄).to me this valve and FedEx relationship is none customer caring ( we all have waited months on the list just order and now wait some more🤷🏻‍♂️) I’ve order services with different company thru different mail deliveries with better customer tracking service providing .I HOPE THIS WAITING Thru FEDEX ISNT THE NORM AND EVERYONE THAT FINALLY GOT THIER STEAM DECK THOUGJT LITTLE OF THIS?

Every service is having issues. This isn't a FedEx only problem.

Since Valve paid the shipping for you, they chose not to spend nearly an additional $50 for overnight shipping per unit. They are also insured in case of something happening.

If delivery has taken over the estimated time, contact Steam Support.

FedEx is hit or miss. They've been that way for a while. Last place I lived, I had nothing but issues with the local FedEx DC. Where I live now, they are top notch. The inbetween is usually good but FedEx has significant cracks along certain routes.

The up side is that FedEx is usually very good working with their customers. And when I say "customers", that doesn't mean you but Valve. If FedEx fails to deliver, they'll make it right with Valve who will in turn make it right with you. But there's a process to all of that which can add to the frustration.

Just keep working with Valve/Steam and you'll get your hands on a Deck eventually.

Lol Yeah, just today i saw another Reddit post that a FedEx Employee scummed the Steam Deck from a Customer who was at Home the whole Day lmfao.

You would think that any employee of FedEx would already have one by now, enough have vanished during shipping. Steam does know when a stolen Deck is activated however.

Thanks for all the comment y’all . Was exciting finally getting on the list and finally ordering it..then get bum down with 2 weeks of waiting . Reading online of horrors of it lost or stolen . Update ..finally got my steam deck after 2 weeks and 2 calls to FedEx . Not confident I’ll order another steam deck for my family members or recommend it to my family and friend . Don’t get me wrong..maybe when it’s on Amazon or some other service thst can overnight it🤔😛
