What type of ergonomic chair should I get?

Let me get straight to the point

Mesh or not? Softer or harder? Note that I'm a skinny guy (65 kg which is approx 140 lbs)

An office chair. What you get depends on your preferences, some people like harder chairs and some people like softer chairs

Go to a few brick and mortar stores that have floor models of different styles of chairs so you can actually sit in them to see which is most comfortable for you. Sit in them for more than a few minutes- roll across the floor while sitting in them- in other words, do the same things you'll be doing at home.

No one here can guess what is going to make your butt and back hurt less, or what kind of armrests are going to suit you best or what type of materials are going to be the most comfortable and long-lasting for you. If you have gamer friends locally who have different kinds of chairs, go visit them and ask them to let you park your butt in their chair for a bit to see how it feels.

You can find used office chairs for much cheaper too. While the Herman Miller chairs are the most popular and well known, you can get equally excellent chairs from other makers like HumanScale or Steelcase that equally excellent but can be even cheaper since there not as “popular”. I got a Steelcase Leap chair for $50 on clearance. Look for local auctions or just clearance stuff on Craigslist

Note these chairs are expensive because they’re built like tanks. My Herman Miller Aeron chair from 10 years ago is just as good today. I’ll easily get another 10 years out of it

High backed executive type office chair with arm rests. They are reasonably cheap and very comfortable.
Been using the same make/model for over 20 years, and re-bought the exact same one 3 times (due to general wearing over the years).

This. Office chairs are cheap(ish) and were created to be sat on for hours on end. Gaming chairs are overpriced and uncomfortable

I have a high back steel and leather executive chair and it's amazing. Very expensive though but I'm sure you could get something decent for probably much cheaper.
