Corruption and/or ideological bias at Steam
Let just get this out of the way: yes we are talking about Chaos;Head Noah
A 2008 science fiction visual novel which has been cancelled due to "Steam's guideline-requiring changes to the game's content"

Without over-complicating the topic: We are talking about a game that is NOT featuring adult content. In fact, its not featuring adult content to such an extent, that it will be available on nintendo switch of all things, and if nintendo allows it, you better believe that its not a p*rn game.

However, now that we arrived to the topic of p*rn games:
Actually if you take a deeper dive into the steam library with the adult options allowed, you can get almost anything on steam from furry to loli to stuff like s*x with hitler as Rev pointed out in a recent video.

We can state with zero effort: The consistency of steam's rules are nonexistent.
They dont exist.
Steam has no rules for vetting games.
Either you have one or more people on staff who have it out for anime, or the vetting process itself is completely broken, and im sorry dear Gaben and the rest of the staff at valve, but no, we are not going to have a discussion about how anime characters look young to some people while you are selling furry r*pe porn, george floyd throttling simulators, s*x with hitler and many similar great picks on your store.

If you can house literally any amount of utter trash on your platform, then you absolutely CAN sell stinking basic anime as well.
I have no idea what rules you have or who on your staff has mental issues, but review it already and deal with cause this keeps on resurfacing over and over again.
Chaos;head is one instance of a long list of games you blocked with completely inconsistently applied rules.

Again: You are being told here to apply your rules consistently.
If this is too high a bar for you to climb, then we are going to have a serious issue on the long run here.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're getting at. You think the translation is so bad Valve refused to sell the game? There's zero chance of that being the problem.
Also the game was never in "localization hell", it simply was never officially translated to English before.

It's not like companies play the games ahead of time. For all we know it's something as simple as change 1 image for a specific region. No way to know as the developer is being super elusive
That's completely unrelated.

Who wants to smile with glee and joy? Behold young on lookers, the "Ban" or basically "We left because we google translated our game and the word "Ban" is what we replaced with Steams word for "Translate""

Yes, the game was asked to be literally translated more and instead of doing so they literally said no, threw in the towel and walked away, its so beautiful
Please stop talking about things you clearly don't understand.

Just because it pokes holes in your theory doesn't make it unrelated. Its an example of a game that passed "review" and was later found to contain underage nudity. Its proof that things do slip thru the cracks.

Again, whats interesting is from those links it looks like the translation has changed from the previous versions so that can easily trigger a ban if it implies underage chars for instance.

No its 100% on point.
Steam never banned it, they rejected the game because it was not properly translated, and ya, as found: https://twitter.com/CommitteeOf0/status/1559996560561274882

The changes Steam apparently asked for, were literally vastly majorily texted based only

Let's go step by step:
1. The game in question featured REAL WOMEN, not DRAWINGS.
2. The women in the game exposed their bare breasts.
3. The developers didn't know that one woman was 17.
4. To the developers, all women in the game were 18 and above.
5. During the rating process, the developers communicated all women were 18+ to the rating boards.
6. The boards gave a rating based on the fact that all women were 18+.
7. After the game was released, one of the women said she was actually 17 and not 18.

Pray tell, how does this have any relation to Chaos;Head, an anime game with no nudity or sexual content?

There are machine-translated hentai games on Steam. You have no clue what you're talking about.

https://www.liquisearch.com/knights_of_xentar/localization_and_censorship
Thats the story of Knights of Xantar, another pour JRPG that was killed due to Localization and Censorship, and yes, the entire death of it, was because of poor translation to, otherwise the game literally just like Chaos head, was not changed.

The fact I know of the funny crap companys say that is "censorship" in reality is just them refusing to properly localize their product has been a thing for years

Quite the other way around sir, because you know why that is?
The irony is simple: If the lads indeed only changed text, and you showed a game thats google translated, why is it ironically that the only people screaming their banned are those not apart of the Spike company or Valve? Its almost like it was never banned, rather Steam just rejected it due to pour translation.

Wow its literally like the entire situation has been blown so hard out of the water because people like making Steam look bad. Ironically given the train and slew of garbage in 4 days on twitter related to this, it clearly shows that literally everyone was onboard accepting it was a ban, before anyone confirmed it to start with.

Yes, and they missed something even more in your face then drawings. So if something that obvious can be missed, then something like a line of text saying that a char who engages in sexualy explicit scenes is underage is EXTREMELY easy to miss/

Also its been confirmed the game has sexual content, just not nudity. So underage or potentially underage chars can be a thing.

Again though, its something the dev could very easily clear up, but instead is using Steams decision to market his game and spread awareness and boost his sales..... So very suspicious.

They didn't miss anything. You can't tell a 17 year old from an 18 year old by eye. The game had the standard warnings about everyone involved being 18+, something even the devs themselves believed was true. After it was released, one woman revealed she was actually 17 at the time of filming. You can't miss something you don't know about.

The characters are in school, so it doesn't matter to Steam if they're underage or not; they're treated as underage regardless. However, the game has no sexual content. I've already played the game and can attest to that, but you don't need to trust me. Google the CGs and see for yourself.
Chaos;Child has the exact same kind of content, by the way.

Yep, I called it, text. Probably related to a char in school that is portrayed in a sexual manner. It's the most common reason visual novels get censored

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the new argument seems to be: the translation is so bad Steam demanded the evil publisher to fix it; the evil publisher refused and thus didn't want to release the game on Steam. Valve are the good guys!
Is that it?

No your entirely over looking the fact Valve demanded nothing, as literally they didnt do anything to start with. They rejected basically a badly translated game, Of0 got mad and said they banned his basically life work when that never happened to start with and the internet basically just accepted it as the truth with literally no word from Steam or even Spike, as a matter of fact I dont think Spike and Valve got into it, given their still going with the game and Steam said nothing at all, this entire thing literally feels like its just a fabricated gas blowing by the guy that failed to translate a game.

Let me get this...

The game is not on steam because of developers lazyness?

wow...
