Its the new version that just released on Switch and the same that was supposed to release on Steam.
So the version that Valve refused.
Its actually a double release together with Chaos;Child the sequel:
https://www.amazon.de/Chaos-Double-Pack-Head-Child/dp/B09Y9FDRW3
But both got the same USK 16 rating.
I seriously found the first part of, note, the 500 word cutdown route, or so I think, and just to stay family friendly, I nearly puked just trying to read it: Basically a guy tries to indeed sexually assault a woman Thats the part we know but I was that was not the issue at all
This game is dark, and I dont mean that in a stupid way, this is literally one of the most over the top bloody games I've ever seen, and thats even above Quake and doom.
Note: I knew this going in, but I was not aware of how "bass boosted" it has been, to even say that; for those that know the series, the moment I quit playing (tho I barely understood it at all)
Was the literal second I saw a pregnant man basically being cut open like a freaking potato and spilling out an unborn child, that later turns out was neither his in any freaking form.
And before someone calls BS: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/chaos-head/images/a/ad/Pregnant_Man.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20200912175413
Like I see why Steam freaking tossed it out, this has nothing to do with sexual content, this is about literally the game being so vile and gross that its like they took the original game and not only translated it ,but also increased the body horror and demented levels of gore by times ten.
Ugh.
I honestly nearly got sick trying to get past this little moment, I gave up, trashed the files so hard that I freaking did a triple recycle burning on a digital icon, like I seriously dont mind horror games to a point, but this is not horror, this is literally so over the top that even freaking Corpse Party compared to it makes it seem like a pure white dressed maiden that has done no evil.
To further note: Dont try to get the fan patch, as I only saw after the fact that by Japanese own ratings alone, it boosted the gore so badly that the fan mod is literally able to turn it into a Z rated game from its current D one (basically from Mature to Adult due to just freaking Gore alone)
Like I honestly dont blame steam for tossing it out, the freaking dark and sick elements of the game I barely even understood made me question why this was a Steinsgate game in any form and not just some over the top parody to the Hellsing series.
And I agree. Nothing to do with sexual content or anything else beside with dark stuffs. And I feel being mix with what Steam did. I mean if they didn't like any kind of dark fantasy setting or dark stuffs, like, Berserk, Hellsings, and some other well-known stuffs. Then someone else at Valve could have switch to another person to handle it. Like, someone who didn't like dark stuffs?
And I literally mean into freaking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mist of blood, thats also the second lightest one, the fact these two are basically the bottom barrel ones means that you just need to read this...

Understand fast, this is the original Chaos Head, the one Steam denied is Chaos Head Noah which is frankly far worse then what I can provide safely thanks to the wikipedia.
From what I understand someone at Valve didn't like dark stuffs and maybe they could have ask them to put up some separate version and unfortunately, that guy is going to have nightmare for a week or so-so.
This is kids level stuff for anyone who played Mortal Kombat 11, which is available on Steam.
That and there are some Visual Novel on Steam already that are FAR worse regarding disturbing content.
I mean "Dead End Aegis" is on Steam in the full uncensored version and thats one of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Visual Novel i ever read.
Gore never was a problem for Steam in any form so claiming that it was the reason for this refusal is nonsense.
Also again, Noah was rated USK 16 by the GERMAN video game rating board, a board notorious for banning games that have too much gore or are too disturbing.
Hell, even games like Dead Rising are still banned in Germany because of the gore.
So this game cant be that bad or it would not have gotten the "ok for 16 year olds " seal here.
Simple as that.
It's just a consequence valve being ran like a ship with no captain.
There's no consistency to a lot of the decisions they make.
But there are still games on Steam where you can have sex with a canonically 1 year old catgirl.
