Valve allows lots of trash, russian bear vodka s**t, furry degenerate s**t, sex with hitler, acquitted, lock her up alt-right junk but not the classic cult game from a trusted known publisher?

Don't spread baseless conspiracies. Mods only act on reports and lock threads when they devolve.

This thread would've been locked the day it was made if the subject alone had broken any rules for the forums.

We need big names, publishers to call them out while they are promoting steamdeck in Japan. Someone mentioned in the reddit r/visualnovels that this was a good opportunity but was probably ignored. The publishers need to band together and ride the wave.

We need news outlet to report on this. Youtubers to bring it up . If a big name in VN's like spike chunsoft falls under the radar then it'll be alot harder later.

Based on msot reddit threads about this... yeah the Campo Santo guy is behind this and he's known for banning a DOTA user for no reason.

Any evidence to back that claim up?
You could google it instead of derailing the thread every 2 minutes...
Visual Novels aren't known for selling amazingly compared to other media to start with, so it's a shame that VNs like Chaos;Head Noah get handicapped even more like this. Hopefully there's some context behind Valve's decision soon, because I can't find anything controversial about it myself.

so, you think that valve actually has mods in office as opposed to the cost effective outsourced modding available?

i mean, at first it was the vol mods that were biased, now it is also the paid mods. i have heard that the paid mods are the vol mods and that the piad mods and vol mods are friends.

do you see how conspiracy theory that is?

hell, i believe that, just because i am paranoid, that does not mean they are not out to get me, but that is too much even for me

It isn't derailing asking you to back up a claim that a specific person is targeting this game. The reason for this dev refusing to release on Steam directly pertains to that.

So again, do you have anything to back up your theory?

Not when I experienced it myself, Was basically told to shut up or get banned in nicer words. Got a warning via inbox aswell.

There was a thread opened about censorship and a mod straight up closed it because it generates drama but that's besides the point. Was only 2-3 months ago.

This isn't Valve's decision as much as the dev's decision.
My suspicion is that they make a better margin on the Switch than the PC and so are pulling a fast one to try and drive some PC buyers over to the switch at least for the first month or 3, and then the game will magically appear on STeam.

As said. I can't imagine those games having anything worse than what we see in games like COrpse pArty and Higurashi.

So you literally admit the thread was closed because it broke the rules?

There is no warning that's "essentially shut up or get banned". Forum mods also have no say in what games are allowed in Steam or what needs to be changed for a game to be on Steam.

you assume bias, though, as opposed to accepting the given statement.

i have been here for years.

i have many posts. lots of them criticizing steam or games, or disagreeing with the people that are called the regulars,

and i only have a couple of warnings. mostly deserved. i do think that 1 should not have been given, but it is a 50/50 call

now, if you want to touch on censorship,

of course the boards are censored. we all know it before we posted.

every single message board has its rules and will censor those that they feel broke them.

they are also run by people that may make a mistake. that is why it is nice to have the appeal, but attributing it to malice/bias is just weird to me

Anyway this Valve's decisions is ridiculous and must be stop. We couldn't get Fullmetal Daemon Muramasa (plus Deus Machina Demonbane as well probably), Rance VI + Rance 5D, Evenicle 2, Kara no Shoujo 2 and probably much-much more that we not know about.

If previous VN's didn't have a similar problem, then most likely no one would talk about the problem with the Chaos;Head

Not their decision. YOu didn't actually read the developer's words.
Spike Chunsoft, Inc. today regrets to announce that it will not be able to release CHAOS;HEAD NOAH on Steam as originally planned due to Steam's guideline-required changes to the game's content. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. believes these changes would not allow the game to be released to its standards.
Now if you read pass the vagueries and corp speak. What you get is a dev choosing not to publish on steam but being a little to cowardly to straight up say why in all likelihood. I mean try to ask yourself. What would Steam , given its catalog, have a problem with that Nintendo wouldn't?

Yes and given how low the clearance bar on Steam is...it makes you wonder why.

Except much like CHunsoft the devs were always vague and witnessing the cycle a few times has me wondering if this isn't a marketing tactic. Because as said. We've seen what Steam allows . and if they have something in those games that would be even more degenerate than what's already on the store...Look at Corpse party, then ask yourself.

Apply some critical thought to the matter. What we have is a few onesided stories that are vague on details but said details do not line up with what is seen.

That's what cracks me up. These people think that NINTENDO of all things would have less strict guidelines than Steam.

Time changes, Sony used to be the platform that allowed games like Grand Theft Auto, Punisher, Manhunt, etc. Now they have gone full blown pro censorship and destroyed the senran kagura franchise, pretty much deleting the fan service off a game that was built upon it while nintendo released the super mario's family friendly games and now VN's get less censored while sony has that annoying white bar spread across the CG.

I don't trust Nintendo but the comparison people make with NINTENDO of all things comes in irony. No one is happy with Steam's inconsistencies. Examples has been posted already. Chaos child on the platform, chaos head banned. Kara no shoujo on the platform, Kara no shoujo 2 banned. You see?

Yea that's a part of why this sucks even more also afaik youtube doesn't monetize vn's very well if at all, so it's no wonder they don't get much attention when stuff like this happens.
