So long as you have a big library and enough verified titles to play, I prefer gaming on the deck.
I'm glad to have both, as choosing would be tough.
Steam Deck and other PC Handled devices for everything else.
If that's the case then it would be "Steam Deck and other PC Handled devices". I rather have the freedom of PC than the restrictions of consoles.
They don't even do the same thing. Do you want to play nintendo games? The switch. Do you want to play pc games? The deck.
But my personal choice is the Steam Deck. Better specs, and personally have a decently large library of games that I can put the Deck to good use for. That, and the fact that I got bored of the two exclusive series that drawn me to their consoles, Pokemon and Mario.
The games look and play how you want them to, and you're free to tweak things to get your desired performance level. It runs everything from small indie games all the way up to beefy AAA titles, and being able to play something like Spider-Man Remastered on a handheld is a real next-level gaming experience.
Yes, the system is more expensive than a Switch initially, but like comparing PC to console gaming you will save money in the long run. It plays your existing Steam library, online is completely free, and you can get games for much cheaper than you can on Switch.
Switch is of course better for the average consumer, but personally I got tired of paying full price for the Nintendo exclusives when they don't even perform well on the one system they're designed for. Frame drops in Zelda, and blurry resolutions in Xenoblade really put me off investing any more money in my Nintendo collection, so I gave my Switch away almost as soon as I got the Deck.
Wait i though games on PC is far cheaper than on Switch and also has more games than switch. umm.
